TBH I dont really rate Moses ... I suspect we will be disappointed down the track. He just seems like a skinny kid who isnt developing much tbh. 22 year olds should be pretty well developed these days.

I would have preferred Widdop - he is tougher, has more strings to his bow, also kicks goals ... but he plays on the left, can he play right??? And i dont know if he is considering leaving st george now they have kicked on a bit - and may well cost more (but do you want a winner or a cheap alternative?)
Hang on, Widdop didn't debut until he was 21 and made just 3 appearances. His first full year was in 2011 when he turned 22.

Moses debuted at 19 years of age and has played 63 matches since. There's plenty of improvement in Moses to add "more strings to his bow".

JT was a very skinny kid when he first started in 2003/4

Widdop is just your run of the mill average 5/8 I've never seen him have a great game against any top side.

We need another play maker along side Norman. BA obviously saw this and sees Moses strengths.
I definitely wouldnt compare 2003/4 to 2017/18/19 ... there were probably skinny forwards in 2003/4 too

Im not saying widdop is a star, he is a very solid half with good kicking, goal kicking, a running, good vision and solid defense - but not elite, so still reasonable $$$s

Played 63 matches and he's still pretty average?

I hope he turns out to be a star ... but im not convinced .... he is gonna play for parra (provided he lasts the cooling off period), so i sure as shit will be hoping he goes better than i think!!

One thing i do hope is that we can get him here this year - it will go a long way towards getting things ready for 2018/19

Personally I'd have given Bevan another season on the wing this year, or at least started that way...but I don't know if it helps anything to shift him now. He's been fine.

Taka is the weak link in the backline at the moment, whether it's form or whether he's on the decline. He's too slow, he's made a couple of busts and it looked like he was running in custard, and his defence has been shocking. If we do bring Moses, Gutho will take Taka's place.
Agree Bazal, Taka been poor all season so far but BA still persists with him. Would prefer Mennings be dropped until he learns to pass with Auva'a in his place. Even if Auva'a not playing great in Wenty is a proven performer. If Moses in team Gutho to centre and replace Taka, to bench or dropped, and Genning to replace the Hoff who has offered exactly zero I'm afraid, poor buy so far.

I'm with strider on the Moses signing. It has the potential to be a great signing but that word - potential - has been bandied about all too often in the last 2 years when it comes to Moses and Brooks and it hasn't amounted to anything other than a handful of good games and a plethora of above average reserve grade standard games...

Plenty of Tigers fans saying they are happy to see the back of Moses. But I'm certain if the reverse had happened and Brooks signed elsewhere and Moses had stayed in Tiger town, they'd be saying Moses is the future, Brooks is a merkin etc etc... it's just the nature of footy fans...

Widdop missed 10 less tackles then moses last season in a better defensive side. While hunt missed more.

Last year I thought moses could be the next Thurston- Johns in the making.

Thurston was 21 when joined the cowboys almost 22. And he wasn't exactly a superstar or the dogs would of kept. They just thought he wouldn't be that great. It was perhaps a few seasons later when Thurston was around 24 people started to really take notice.
Same goes with cronk and Norman

For those who have been paying closer attention than I regarding our signings and retentions over the last few months, are the likes of Norman, Moses, French, Moeroa, Gutherson et al all slated to come off contract at the end of 2019? I wouldn't want the club to find itself in a similar position to the Tigers in a couple of years with a whole bunch of talent coming off contract at the same time....
Unfortunately this is a side effect of building a premiership window.

Spot on. The Tigers need a clear out and a culture change. I doubt their fans will be too disappointed in seeing any of them
go. I'm glad we have Moses. Plenty of room for improvement and having Norman as the main playmaker should help too.

here's a thought with the musical chairs going on, if josh reynolds ends up at the sharks which is quite possible, is brailey a target?
