Maybe we could offload Semi prior to his court case, and then the Tigers would be stuck with what to do if the NRL de-registers him mid-season...?

But more realistically, wasn't Terepo found lying to the club over summer (hence his suspension)? Pretty sure he'd be on the outer, and a likely trade option.

Terepo is a BA fave... I'd be surprised if he was moved on. But of course things move fast in this game so who knows?

Get rid of Gower if it means getting Moses this year. Good signing imo. I think he will develop into a top line half under BA.

Someone posted last night Kent said that the Tigers wanted a forward b4 they release Moses.

Would they be interested in Hassan, Gower, King, O'Brien, Niukore, Woods, Tanginoa but ? Surely we would not release anyone else ? Alvaro ?

No Kent didn't say that, it was just his opinion that the tigers "should" ask for a forward to release Moses.

But he is a merkin talking shit, the tigers just released a very promising young forward to manly who is likely to play NRL this year.

Terepo is 25, not exactly old and id say about to play his peak years now. 25-30 is usually a props best years.

My only concern was his defence. I've already said he is potentially the next Thurston. He was brilliant last year. Anyway if Arthur's is happy signing him then I've got no problem with his defence.
Isn't the defensive frailties of the Fog the thing holding him back from fg? Or are there other problems? If defence is the problem then why buy Moses with the same problem?

I'd hate to lose peni and he really go on like he has promised at tigers but I think he's the only option if tigers in fact do want a forward. Or throw them Takairangi?

True, but is he really going to play much first grade over the next few years, particularly if we've signed Evans? He would still be on around $150k at the very least and I reckon Alvaro and Twal offers us decent depth from 2018 onwards. We can also offer Frank another year. I don't think the Tigers would be interested in Gower, and Scott probably isnt interested in moving on either.

TBH I dont really rate Moses ... I suspect we will be disappointed down the track. He just seems like a skinny kid who isnt developing much tbh. 22 year olds should be pretty well developed these days.

I would have preferred Widdop - he is tougher, has more strings to his bow, also kicks goals ... but he plays on the left, can he play right??? And i dont know if he is considering leaving st george now they have kicked on a bit - and may well cost more (but do you want a winner or a cheap alternative?)

Defensive frailties in the NRL and NSW Cup are two different things.

FFS merkin. Unlike many here I rate Josh Reynolds, but unlike many here I rate Mitch Moses too.
Agree with you Pou re Reynolds, but not as a half. Would make a pretty good dh imo but could he make 40 tackles and still play 80 with the enthusiasm he plays with?

JT was a very skinny kid when he first started in 2003/4

Widdop is just your run of the mill average 5/8 I've never seen him have a great game against any top side.

We need another play maker along side Norman. BA obviously saw this and sees Moses strengths.
