The RBA could use that power to reduce inflation to zero. That would have its own consequences but it can. Garbage you say? Here’s a screenshot from their website. They literally say they have a ‘flexible inflation target’.That is simply complete garbage. The Reserve Bank has only one lever, monetary policy. They can simply only control reference interest rates and they do so to REDUCE inflation and therefore reduce the "systematic devaluation of spending power". The Reserve Bank is doing the opposite of what you are saying.
Mate you have no idea what you are talking about. The Reserve Banks policies dont encourage speculation. The Federal Governments policy of negative gearing does though.
Government Fiscal policy impacts inflation by increasing the amount of money in the economy, Reserve Bank monetary policy reduces inflation by taking money out of the economy. When they do so, they INCREASE interest, incentivising savings and disincentivising speculation. The RBA could use that power to reduce inflation to zero. NAS spends half the season either injured or suspended. Gives away penalties like he gets paid to do it.
No thanks.
No disagreement about fiscal policy on inflation and immigration on house prices.Government Fiscal policy impacts inflation by increasing the amount of money in the economy, Reserve Bank monetary policy reduces inflation by taking money out of the economy. Reserve Bank removing money from the economy, to reduce inflation does NOT incentivise speculation.
I love Nelson. I really hope we get him. He is exactly what we need.Look I am not a fan of Nelson, at all. But. If he came in all guns and ammo and we have a clear plan to bash some big teams for the opening 20mins I’m ok with it. I honestly, really trust Ryles.
Not suggesting Nas but an intimidating agitator in the middle would be great.
You?

Remember, everyone on here was against signing addo carr....but look how it turned out.
Good, that is the whole pointNo disagreement about fiscal policy on inflation and immigration on house prices.
I didnt say it was garbage that RBA had a 'target inflation rate' I said your statement that " It is a systematic devaluation of spending power. Therefore, saving produces negative net returns for most people, after tax and inflation." is garbage and it is. The RBA literally increases interest, therefore increasing returns on savings and incentivising savings and literally increases costs on property speculation (increased interest rates).I disagree about speculation and we can agree to disagree. But speak to anyone schooled in finance (myself included, professionally) and they will say the way to offset inflation is to invest (speculate) in growth assets.
I said the RBA had a ‘target inflation rate’. You said garbage and asserted I didn’t know what I was talking about. I showed evidence to the contrary directly from The RBA. Care to take back your assertion?
Well said. They love your posts. Otherwise they’d block you. But because they’re spineless halfwits, they’d rather whinge incessantly and throw personal insults. That’s what cowards do.
And this isn’t a pro-Pou post, it’s an anti-turning this forum into a haven for whining bitches who are either too stupid to hit ignore or are gluttons for punishment post.
I’m not reading replies to this because I have no interest in engaging in this childish shit. Grow the f**k up and stop clogging this forum with utter shit.
Inflation, if caused by fiscal policy (which we agree it is), and is allowed to remain at 2-3% (as opposed to zero), then that is systematic and does reduce purchasing power. By your own argument, if the RBA raised rates to bring inflation to zero that would encourage even more savings, in risk free cash. I suggest (yep, I’m speculating) higher interest rates with zero inflation would reduce investment/speculation in shares, property, bitcoin, gold. (Virtually the whole basis of gold investing, for example, is to offset govt caused inflation).Good, that is the whole point

He got a grade three last year and missed the GF. He's also out for the rest of this year for being a naughty boy again. He's also got some prior form.I love Nelson. I really hope we get him. He is exactly what we need.

Yep plenty of us were very keen on JACWrong.
Not everyone on here was against his signing.

If Ryles wants NAS then I support it, but sometime tells me with his team first mentality - he isn’t on our radar
How does a team lose a game scoring 4 tries to 1If you look at this wallabies crowd you can see how cool it looks if a lot of the crowd wears yellow/gold. We need to have a game the players and club promote that we all wear yellow shirts/jerseys.
We are the only RL team that can do this because yellow is by far the best color to use as it stands out like dogs balls and only the Eels have the yellow jersey.
It is lazy to not have brought this in years ago when I called for it.
I’d take NAS if the Storm chipped in about a third of what he is on.
