Parramatta Eels might not seek Jarryd Hayne comeback, says new club administrator
Except he didn't say that at all...
Parramatta Eels might not seek Jarryd Hayne comeback, says new club administrator
Probably because stating it publically isn't great for his negotiating position. Plus he likely believes the coach is less important than (and answerable to) the CEO, who doesn't currently exist.I realise it's early days, in saying that I'm still suprised Mr Donelly has not already mentioned the importance of signin BA ASAP.
Please do, Rob Jeffson.Parramatta Eels veteran Jeff Robson mulling whether to extend his NRL career

Just goes to show the spin of the media. Both of these media outlets are owned by Rupert yet the titles are completely different yet the source is exactly the same.http://www.theaustralian.com.au/spo...n/news-story/360cbae287f6ae353754cbdcf11e2d92
Interim Parramatta boss Max Donnelly said today one of his immediate priorities would be attempting to lure Hayne back to the NRL club.
“Do the Eels want to try to get Jarryd Hayne in a blue and gold jersey?” he said.
“In an ideal world, yes, but I’ve got no idea what room we have to move in the cap. I would love him to return, but I have no idea at all if it’s possible.”
Kieran Foran’s release from the Eels, yet to be ratified by the club, would open the way for Hayne’s return.
“I don’t know what is happening with Kieran Foran,” Mr Donnelly said.
Gotta hand it to you phantom, at least you are f**king consistent. Please do, Rob Jeffson.
That should put paid to any need we have of re-sgning Hayne, and then we can spend Foran's money on some forwards and wingers (assuming Semi may not be available in 2017).
Oh you and your pop culture references Barry.I actually thought the Jeffson/Hayne thing was pretty funny. Sort of a Jefferson Airhayne
That's not what I meant. If Hayne had the luxury of playing in a decent side with a well managed cap there would be less to pick on. He had to carry us for several years. Remind me, how did he perform in rep sides?
And we would have been another $750K over the cap, but nice story though...
So would anyone take Farah if the tigers foot plenty of the bill? We need a hooker so I say yes...even with the baggage he comes with.
I wouldn't - not only is he over-rated, but he's old, and a cancer.
No, thank you.
