I realise it's early days, in saying that I'm still suprised Mr Donelly has not already mentioned the importance of signin BA ASAP.

Tackle Six – Norman Extortionists Revealed

Corey Norman’s camp has uncovered the identities of two men who attempted to sell incriminating videos to media outlets via a Sydney lawyer last week.

We’ve also been told their names – and that of the company they set-up with the explicit purpose to sell the clips for a whopping $150,000.

We understand Norman’s solictors have sent letters to the lawyer acting for the pair; advising him to cease negotiations.

It’s now unlikely the footage will ever be broadcast, but details behind the night in question have reached our ears.

We’re told the videos were shot in a CBD apartment, which belongs to the older man who can be seen snorting a substance in the video Norman filmed himself.

As for the woman in the other video? We’re told Norman and former housemate James Segeyaro first met her and a female colleague on the night in question.

The NRL Integrity Unit is now well across the story after meeting Norman and his agent in Sydney on Monday.

A lengthy suspension, very possibly for the remainder of the season, is expected. If that transpires, Norman can partly thank the Roosters.

The Bondi club has been none-too-subtle in reminding the NRL about Mitchell Pearce’s eight-week ban for a video nasty earlier this year.

Tackle Seven – Des Passes on Foran

Since leaving Manly in 2011, Bulldogs coach Des Hasler has made two futile bids to re-unite with Kieran Foran. Assuming he stays at Belmore, there won’t be a third.

We’ve been told Hasler addressed rumours the club was set to pursue Foran at a recent team meeting.

There had been some understandable unrest among some players that changes need to be made to accommodate a player of Foran’s value. Hasler made it clear the Bulldogs weren’t interested.

We also understand Canterbury’s board is no longer interested in backing any move to bring Foran to Belmore.

They simply see him as too troubled – and want to support incumbent halves pairing Moses Mbye and Josh Reynolds.

The other obvious destination for Foran is Manly. As we’ve mentioned numerous times before, the Sea Eagles are on the cusp of signing Storm five eighth Blake Green.

The pivot received his two-year contract this week, and once it’s signed, Foran’s hopes of going back to Brookvale would appear to be dashed.

Probably because stating it publically isn't great for his negotiating position. Plus he likely believes the coach is less important than (and answerable to) the CEO, who doesn't currently exist.

Interim Parramatta boss Max Donnelly said today one of his immediate priorities would be attempting to lure Hayne back to the NRL club.

“Do the Eels want to try to get Jarryd Hayne in a blue and gold jersey?” he said.

“In an ideal world, yes, but I’ve got no idea what room we have to move in the cap. I would love him to return, but I have no idea at all if it’s possible.”

Kieran Foran’s release from the Eels, yet to be ratified by the club, would open the way for Hayne’s return.

“I don’t know what is happening with Kieran Foran,” Mr Donnelly said.

Parramatta Eels might not seek Jarryd Hayne comeback, says new club administrator

MAX Donnelly, the man tasked with rescuing Parramatta from its current disasters, has expressed caution about the club’s interest in attracting Jarryd Hayne back to the Eels, as he also flagged radical changes to the club’s structure, including a separation of its two boards.

In an wide-ranging interview with The Daily Telegraph, Mr Donnelly — the man who led the chase for fugitive businessman Christopher Skase — has stressed he wants the Eels to become a western Sydney powerhouse once more, saying “the potential is there to build it into a club that’s financially sound, strong governance and winning football games, with strong management.”

In his first full day at the club’s HQ, after the club’s entire board was sacked on Tuesday, the new Parramatta administrator noted that “every club in the NRL would want Jarryd Hayne”.

But he offered no guarantees about Hayne’s recruitment to the Eels: “In an ideal world, yes. But I don’t know what room we have in the cap.”[/QUOTE]

Just goes to show the spin of the media. Both of these media outlets are owned by Rupert yet the titles are completely different yet the source is exactly the same.

And we would have been another $750K over the cap, but nice story though...
That's not what I meant. If Hayne had the luxury of playing in a decent side with a well managed cap there would be less to pick on. He had to carry us for several years. Remind me, how did he perform in rep sides?

I wouldn't - not only is he over-rated, but he's old, and a cancer.

No, thank you.

Yep anyone who stubbornly ignores a coaches game plan cos he thinks that he knows better, it not for us.

Robbie needs to find himself a captain/coach gig in 2nd Div england so he can run his own show.

I agree he's over-rated but he's still the incumbent nsw hooker so not a complete nuffie. He also has a kicking game which would take pressure off our halves.

I'll also concede he's old but we are also considering offering De Gois a 2 year contract so I'm not sure age is that much of a concern for BA.

As for being a cancer, I think that's largely due to his significant influence at the Tigers. He has played all his footy there and they have a very young side that lacks leadership. If he were to join the eels I can't see him being able to exert as much influence, coming to a new club with experienced leaders such as Scott, Wicks, Gower, Mannah. I also can't see players like Mau and Edwards taking his crap.

With the Tigers forking out plenty of his salary for 2017, I'd offer a two year deal, with the 2nd year amount considerably less commensurate with his likely drop in performance due to age.

Guerra has been terrible this year- Along with ferguson who is a bad reader of the defense.

Lo lohea is a great player but I do not think he would suit Norman. Lolohea is a bit of a flashy running type of player. We have Bevan-Semi-Jennings.That is plenty of flashy players. Norman isn't a great ogranzier-But a great half.
I think a Sam Williams would compliment him - He has a good little kicking game.

Moses is a big target of the roosters. That is the man they want. But they also just signed Keary
So you have Watson - Keary - Matterson - Pierce - Hastings.

Hastings was not invited to the under 20s teams end of year party at dragons-Why they let him go.Word was every other player couldn't stand him..

Farrah is a big yes for me. Why? He needs a change of club like some guys need a change of job. He wont have any power at our club and he will want to prove JT wrong and that he still has got it.
Whats the cost? If you could get Farrah for around 350k I say good buy
