I reckon it is a decent win for them, Tigers aren't winning the comp this year so they might as will start looking towards the forward. But what really helps is it frees up approx $200-250k of their cap. That's a nice bonus to help with rebuilding!!

That 250k is only worthwhile to upgrade existing players. And if Tedesco and Woods are out the door anyway there isn't much left in their team I'd be throwing contract extensions at.

and with a flurry of signings and off contract players at the moment there is no shortage of cattle to spend it on

Nofo's one. Elijah Taylor could be another.

Read somewhere we can apply for an extension to name our side by Wednesday afo which would probably be accepted by the NRL.

As we played on a Monday which isn't a regular total slot it is apparently unfair to expect us to name a side less then 24 hours later.

and of course riccio knew that so he was just fishing on twitter and reeled me in like an atlantic salmon

Nofo? And any mid range players of contract in 2018, they may want to keep. Doesn't matter who it is spent on.

Ive always been a Mannah fan but there is something not quite right there. Low minutes and low energy. Id have Alvaro way ahead of Tim at the moment.
Yeah I get that feeling too.... and both Mannah and Scott would not be happy with the current circumstances and what they are bringing to the team especially as captains.... some twists and turns coming up for at least one of them I reckon...

Mannah's been playing low minutes for about 3 years now.

Yeh. Though I think in this particular case (where you've got a coach who wasn't there at the time all the shit went down) it is sort of understandable. Cleary would want to get a sense of how much of a dick MM might be if he made him stay around.

This is true.

I was curious to hear Cleary's comments; as a relatively experienced coach, I thought his comments were interesting.
