In the case of Moses as well, if you are asked a question say "You're either on the bus or you're not?" and you choose not and then ask for repeated releases and then they didn't like that answer and play hard ball.........how much effort would you put in?
Fair point. Which is why I was keen to get other input.

All I think we really need Moses to do is kick in play. Bring a kicking game to us and we'll be a top 8 contender so long as he and Norman are on the field.

Eels head back to court

Parramatta is embroiled in yet another legal dispute after its stoush with a fundraising firm become a Supreme Court matter.

The Eels are at loggerheads with Footy Fundraisers, a Victorian-based company they had engaged to help run raffles and other fundraising initiatives. Footy Fundraisers has done lots of work in the AFL space but their foray into the NRL has resulted in the Eels attempting to wind up the company.

"We are declining to comment as it is a legal matter," a Parramatta spokesperson said.

The Eels are also in Supreme Court battles with former sponsor Dyldam and former player Brett Horsnell, who is suing the club over its handling of his concussions during his stint in the blue and gold.

You're right, it was a great recruitment decision to sign Foran.

Arguably the best five-eighth in the world at the time. It was a cracking decision and a great signing when the signing was made.

Hindsight is 20/20. Or is BA supposed to be psychic? He had no idea that Foran was such a ticking time bomb, and he coached him for years. There is risk in every single signing. We could sign Cooper Cronk and he could blow an ACL in the trials and retire....

Mitchell Moses’s agent complains to NRL about his welfare at Wests Tigers

THE manager of Wests Tigers five-eighth Mitchell Moses has complained to the NRL and the Players Association about his treatment at the Wests Tigers and overall welfare.

Moses was not supposed to play for the Wests Tigers against South Sydney on Friday night, which probably explains why he had such an embarrassing shocker. He missed seven tackles and didn’t run the football once.

Moses rang his manager Isaac Moses to tell him what was said but a few days later still nothing had happened.

So Isaac Moses, his manager, fired off an email to the Wests Tigers and copied in the Players Association and the NRL. It had, according to the player agent, become a welfare issue. The kid was mess. He didn’t know if he was coming or going.

We tried to speak to Cleary about this situation. He wouldn’t speak on the phone but exchanged a few texts.

Buzz: I need to speak to you about Mitchell Moses please.

Cleary: Sorry mate but no comment.

Buzz: Did you tell him last Saturday it was his last training session?

There was no reply.

Cleary, for all his results at the Panthers and Warriors, is not renowned for dealing with delicate issues and dramas.

At least at Penrith he had Gus Gould to step in and help. At the Wests Tigers there is no one.

Players’ union boss Ian Prendergast said he would speak with the Wests Tigers’ management this week to try to resolve the problems.

This is huge. This dispels all the negative talk around Moses and why his mind wasn't on the job.

I knew something wasn't right.

If cronk had previous knee issues it would be a less of a surprise if he did his acl but as far as I'm aware he doesn't. Every man and his dog in the manly club (including Arthur) knew he had serious mental issues. He must have had some idea he was a ticking time bomb

I'm a Moses fan but a mentally tougher player wouldn't let his form suffer this much because of something like this. In his defence he is still quite young.

I can see how it would affect him (and the side as a whole) though....

"You're either on the bus or you're off the bus"
"Ok coach, let me off, this ain't working"
"No"
"But you said..."
"No!"
"Come on coach, I'm off the bus already mate"
"Ok, give it a week or two..."
*some weeks later*
"Ok coach, I'm off now like you said"
"I never said that"
"But...."
"Lock the f**king doors Brooksy"

It's not exactly professional by either party, but Cleary did say players who weren't on board could GTFO

What exactly does it explain. He 'wasn't supposed to play'. What exactly does that mean.

I hope he works out for us, and I think there's a good chance he will.....but he has to grow the f**k up. Professionals put in 100% even if they're on 1 leg with festering boil on their arse and knowing that their wife is doing Ronny Palmer in the sheds while they are playing.

Nope, it's common sense. If a person has a history of ACL problems they are more likely to injur their ACL. Likewise a person with a history of mental illness is more likely to suffer from mental health problems

I couldn't imagine a cronk or thurston carrying on the same way as this kid under the same circumstances, heck even Josh Reynolds has been playing with passion in the jersey who's club decided to turn his back on him for another bloke.

Unproven?

Since 2014 (the year Moses debuted) here is how he compares with Corey Norman:

Games
70 Norman
67 Moses

Tries
13 Moses
10 Norman

Line breaks
24 Norman
23 Moses

Try assists
40 Moses
36 Norman

LBAs
35 Moses
31 Norman

Since 2014 what is both players win/loss statistics?
