Sandows body was not going to be improved. He was short and had tiny arms.

Moses is tall and a boys body. He will fill out. He will have Tepai and Gutherson and play in a team with a much better defensive structure.

He will never be a Foran in defense. I have seen Norman miss 7 tackles a game. Moses will probably end up around same.
Morgan missed 6 tackles against us. He is a good defending half.

I haven't read much of the last 30+ posts in this thread yet, however it seems there is some concern about Moses's defensive skills.

I only have 1 question and it is an honest one (meaning i am interested in the answers).

When and who was BA's last recruitment error of a first grade player?

I have always said that if Moses comes this year he is going to be a short term sugar hit for a more credible campaign in the finals series, no debates there. Of course he will make a difference to an already established squad and I've always supported his immediate inclusion. He is however not a portkey to a grand final trophy that you could bank on for years to come. The higher probability option as of next year would be Cronk, good luck debating that one @Poupou Escobar

I agree Cronk would be a short term fix for 2018. But Arthur's is building a squad to compete for a few years. Moses is a cog in that machine, and doesn't hurt our recruiting the way Cronk's massive contract would.

Use the $ where you have them for that year. It's how the system is designed unless you rort the cap. You don't have to worry about nurturing anyone when the only thing you have to worry about is luring people to your club. I get what your saying but your attitude is a hang up from eras gone by. When your 'up and coming talent' can leave for more money because they 'don't like their environment anymore', who cares?

The most interesting thing in this saga are the eels fans supporting Moses dogging his club and saying how unfair it is that he isn't immediately released, where Foran, Hayne or Lyon must be some spawn of the devil for dogging the Eels. What's the difference? None, it's the side not the principle. This is a business model built on tribal psychology kiddies, and you are all just the easily manipulated sheep. He is also at the right price point for our team and our salary cap. Cronk is not. He would force us to lose more playing talent than Moses. Arthur's philosophy is quite obviously about squad balance within the top 17 - i.e. there is room for stars but not for superstars.

Moses has been below form this year. I thought he went well when Ivan come. Bar last game.

Last year he was top 3 playmakers in game. And why dogs and roosters want him.

Superior attacking game then Foran and kicking. But Foran has no weakeness. Best defensive half in comp.

Forans going to be good for dogs. I dont expect him to ever get to Manly form. That side was explosive. The weapons of matai,lyons,stewarts boys,watmough.

I reckon if you put Moses in thst team they win the comp to.

Agree i love watching mates bag a player till their club signs him. Kane Evans was a beast till eels nabbed. Now he is a penalty machine who drops balls.

Agree. If we are spending 1.5 mill on our halves its perfect. What would most spines cost?
Roosters would be 3 million. I reckon our with kaysa and Bevan would be more then 2.

Moses was hottest property in NRL last year.. And if he signed for brisbane,roosters,dogs,storm know one would be bagging his credentials. Its more to do with Parra and previous history.
Dogs had Foran lined up and Broncs had Bird,Saints hunt. There was not many clubs needing a half and we got lucky with timing i reckon. And why we got him cheaper. His manager would of informed its eels or maybe newcastle.

I hope the kid is another Kenny and helps us jag a premiership or 2 but I am intrigued by your statement that he's far superior to Sandow, I think you'll that Sandow was quite a player at the same age as Moses is now so I'd challenge you to tell us all how Moses is far superior...

By the way, didn't you say yesterday on another website that Cameron King was replacing Kaysa today?? ... what happened there hotshot?

To a certain extent I agree with Cleary. The big 4 held the Tigers to ransom along with their Manager for months.
Cleary came in and straight away called the bluff of the big 4 and their greedy Manager and put a heap of recruitment issues to bed within a couple of weeks.

Good on him I say.

Now he just needs to put the Moses
issue to bed and release him us.
