Parramatta Eels forwards vow to act as bodyguards for Mitchell Moses

Parramatta's forwards have vowed to act as "bodyguards" for Mitchell Moses to ensure he doesn't become a defensive liability at his new club.

........

Eels skipper Tim Mannah, who has been in contact with Moses through his contractual saga, believes he will get plenty of support without the ball with the blue and golds.

"Like any half, you need to have your bodyguards around you helping you a lot," Mannah said.

........
Parramatta back-rowers Tepai Moeroa and Kenny Edwards will be tasked with providing protection for their prized new signing.

"Mitchy likes to get his body in front, it's not like he doesn't like tackling, but we know we've got a job to help him out," Edwards said.

"We're not trying to be his bodyguard or anything. Our job as a back-rower is to be into that tackle first and help out our halves as much as we can.

Nathan Peats’s manager demands pay rise for the hooker — warns he could quit

NATHAN Peats’ manager has demanded the Titans urgently table a pay rise for the hooker — or risk the NSW Origin prospect quitting the club.

Just 24 hours after Cody Walker requested a release over a pay dispute at Souths, the Peats contract saga has turned ugly with his manager accusing the Titans of undervaluing the hooker.

Peats remains off-contract and his agent, Sam Ayoub, says the talented rake will follow teammates Chris McQueen (Tigers) and Leivaha Pulu (Warriors) at the exits unless the Titans up the ante.

“It’s been a frustrating process, the club seems to want to undervalue Nathan and his worth to the club,” Ayoub said.

“That’s evident in how they work. The Titans lost Chris McQueen to the Tigers and they have now lost Pulu to the Warriors.

“They are losing players because they won’t be proactive in wanting to pay what they are worth.

“I see clubs makes these mistakes all the time. They don’t appreciate the players they have and then when they leave, they panic and end up paying more on the open market for players of lesser quality.

“Nathan is easily the best hooker they have got at the club and he’s in contention for State of Origin. The way he is being treated is extremely disappointing.”

The Titans insist they are doing everything possible to keep Peats.

The club originally tabled a two-year deal worth $500,000 a season, which Peats held off signing as he focused on his early-season recovery from a shoulder injury.

The Titans subsequently tabled a revised offer worth $450,000 annually, but added an extra 12 months, effectively ensuring Peats’ three-year package totalled $1.35 million.

That’s where the Mexican stand-off has occurred. The Titans argue their package represents an increase. The Peats camp is unhappy that the hooker’s seasonal salary average has been reduced.

Parramatta have expressed an interest in bringing Peats back, but the 26-year-old is hoping he can strike a resolution with the Titans.

“Realistically, if there isn’t some advancement in the Titans’ offer, he will take one of the alternate options that are available to him,” Ayoub said.

“His preference is to stay but because he has indicated his desire to stay, the Titans are playing hardball knowing he wants to stay.

“Peatsy is keen to know what’s going on. He has a young family and he has another baby on the way, he would like to plan ahead and settle his family.

“Given the Titans’ lack of positive retention, you would think they would be keen to get a deal done and keep Nathan at the club.”

I actually like this type of music and I also have seen Mannequin at least 10 times. The 80's was a great time for movie making. Even my kids reckon the movies in that period shit on the current garbage that their generation is supposed to relate to.

I blame social media and reality tv for it.

Gremlins, critters....

Id say 90s and early 2000s was the go. But i guess simple movies for simple minds which where big in the 80s so i understand. It must be a nightmare for you trying to understand the plot on something like mullholand drive.

Sounds like his manager has realised that Titans can't afford to increase any salaries for new contracts, now that Hayne is sucking their teat dry.

Can you explain it for me? Then when you are finished can you explain the plot of the 80's classic "Hard ticket to Hawaii."

What about porn? 80s porn vs 90s porn?

We need Gary on this one.
What would he know? Andrew Blake porn is the best ever made. It's like art. He did full location shots. Saw one near the pyramids in Egypt. Pharaoh meets his queen. Great stuff. "Unleashed" is my personal favourite.

My first porno was a video. Sent away from a picture magazine at 13 and used my bus pass as ID to collect.
