I never thought I would cheer watmough and Scott.

But I did like them in my team. I love Scott in our team. Best signing for a long long time

Same for me I often think about how I'd handle gallen playing for the eels, I hated watmough but it doesn't even come close to the hatred I have for gallen

Still a better player than Gordon, but I agree he's more injury prone and doesn't kick goals. I would actually take Slater for $300k if we needed a fullback (though we don't), but a club with a young squad that needed some experience and leadership as well as a fullback could probably offer him more.

For mine Slater offers little in the leadership department. He is a loose cannon held on target by the vice like grip of Smith. That guy is maybe the best player ever because of the control he exerts not only on a game, but over his team mates.

NRL CEO Todd Greenberg says there are no plans to introduce a player transfer window despite two more players leaving for England this week and ongoing doubt about the playing future of Eels winger Semi Radradra.

On Friday morning it was confirmed that Raiders forward Frank-Paul Nuuasuala has signed with Super League powerhouse Wigan effective immediately, the news coming just 24 hours after James Segeyaro's move to Leeds was signed off by the Panthers.

There could be more player movement in the coming days in the lead-up to the June 30 deadline in what has been one of the most fluid markets for mid-season player transfers in the game's history.

But rather than viewing the switching of players between clubs as a reason to institute a more formalised player transfer window as happens in other sports around the globe, Greenberg said it is an indicator that the current system is delivering the desired outcomes for both players and clubs.

"One of the great things about the contract system that we have for players is their ability to move as needed, for both players and clubs," Greenberg said at the opening of Rugby League Central Queensland on Thursday.

"Clearly we'll look at some changes in the next collective bargaining agreement with the players but I think the system we've got now is working."

The most discussed player movement of the season to date has been the Fijian getaway for Eels winger Semi Radradra that has seen widely differing reports of his future at the Parramatta club.

Contracted to the Eels until the end of the 2017 season but with reportedly big money offers from French rugby union, where the Kangaroos winger will be playing has been hotly debated but Greenberg is confident he will take his place back in the NRL in Round 17.

"Everyone is jumping down this conclusion that Semi is in Fiji and not coming back and the information that I've got and the discussions that I've had with Parramatta is that he'll be back and he'll be playing in their next game," Greenberg said.

"He's on contract with them until the end of 2017 and our expectation is and our understanding from Parramatta is that he will fulfil his obligations under his contract.

"Like anybody, when clubs commit to players and players commit to clubs there are contracts in place and we expect that Semi will do exactly that, complete his contract."

Looks like both Jennings boys are goneskis.

They have a very good centre in under 20s who has over taken Robert. I am sure they need to offload thou

Ken Sio wants to come home to.

I like Wallace- Would be a handy signing.

We will need to fill wenty back up. I would try and poach some of these young blokes from Penrith.

Semi Radradra wants to emulate Sonny Bill Williams, says NRL star's former partner

EXCLUSIVE

The former partner of Semi Radradra has revealed the superstar winger has spoken of his desire to emulate Sonny Bill Williams and switch to rugby union, and predicted he "won't be coming back" to Parramatta.

The Eels gave Radradra permission to return to his homeland of Fiji during the bye week, on the proviso he returns on Sunday to prepare for Parramatta's game against high-flying Cronulla next Saturday night. However, the Dally M winger of the year allegedly told those close to him that he had no intention of returning, sparking speculation he would make a Williams-esque defection to the rival code.

Radradra has been linked to Bordeaux and there have even been reports he has already signed a lucrative deal with the French rugby club. His manager, George Christodoulou, met with the NRL during the week to discuss a raft of issues before attempting to hose down speculation about a league walkout via an Eels press statement. Christodoulou did not return Fairfax Media's call on Saturday.

However, Radradra's former partner, Perina Ting, the mother of their 18-month-old daughter Louisa, believes Eels fans have seen the last of the Kangaroos winger.

"In February he said that he would like to go to France to play union," Ting told Fairfax Media.

"He always talked about how Sonny Bill Williams did it.

"I think he will be going to France if they give him the chance to play union.

"[Earlier this year] he said 'I'm going to call you, get ready to pack your bags, we're going to France'."

It is understood several of Radradra's promised third-party agreements with the Eels failed to materialise and he feels he isn't being paid his market value.

The 24-year-old, one of the NRL's biggest drawcards after scoring 58 tries from 63 games, is contracted until the end of next season, but can command more money in the 15-man code.

Asked why she thought Radradra would not fulfil his obligations to the blue and golds, Ting said: "One hundred per cent, he is motivated by the money. Because it wasn't enough for him.

"He would always say to me: 'It's business, Parramatta need me.'

"From my point of view, looking at the situation, he blames the club for his situation.

"I feel for the club because they are doing a lot of things for us and for him. Even when he went to Fiji last year, they give him gym sets, they gave him a box of jerseys to take to his village. They help him a lot.

"I feel sorry for the club."

Radradra came from humble beginnings, working as a kava farmer in the tiny Fijian village of Somosomo. Parramatta took a punt on him after spotting him during a rugby sevens tournament in Dubai and he jumped at the chance to play with his hero, fellow Fijian Jarryd Hayne.

Former NRL salary cap auditor Ian Schubert, Parramatta's de facto chief while the club works through its salary cap mess, has outlined his ambition to reunite the pair at the Eels. However, the fact the club has provisionally been ordered to carry $1.3 million worth of undisclosed promised payments in its salary cap during the next three years as part of their sanctions will make the task difficult to achieve.

The Eels have been aware of Radradra's unrest and were concerned his trip to Fiji could be a one-way ticket. But they didn't want to stand in his way as he sought to spend more time with his family, particularly given his father, Samisoni Waqavatu, has been unwell.

If he doesn't honour his Eels contract, Radradra will likely be slapped with a lengthy NRL ban should he attempt to return to rugby league in the future.

"I feel for Parramatta because of everything they've done for him," Ting said. "And he just walks out for no reason."

It may be busy times at Penrith, but their rivals Parramatta are currently hamstrung due to the salary cap scandal.

The Eels are still awaiting the final penalty from the NRL, expected to be this week, to know their position under the cap for next season and beyond.

This has restricted Parramatta from making official moves in the market, especially with off-contract playmaker Corey Norman.

To further complicate matters, Norman is awaiting his day in court over alleged drug possession charges.

The Eels have placed a verbal offer to off-contract Newcastle back-rower Robbie Rochow.

Rochow, who returned from a fractured arm against St George Illawarra on Saturday, has also received interest from Cronulla.
