Perhaps we need another thread - Attempted Squad Succession. Merkins that we tried to sign and clearly they would have wanted to come and play for us, but their careers are short and they have to look after their families so they took overs elsewhere.

I have been saying it all year, our entire starting front row is simply not good enough.

All Matagi, Mannah and Pritchard would be useful squad players but they are simply not good enough to be your starting front row and meter eaters. They rarely get good consistent go forward and it puts us on the back foot constantly, rarely getting quick fast play the balls after making damaging metres, we are desperately in need of prop and a solid hooker.

I do not remember a time we clearly have dominated the ruck, you look at the Roosters in the first half today and you have JWH and Napa absolutely ripping in and winning the ruck for there team, getting over the advantage line, then Friend off the back of the make smart quick decisions from dummy half. I never see our front row do that it just doesn't happen and feels like slow motion half the time. They also hit hard and rip in, in defence.

Valentino Rossi?

Wouldn't we have heard about it if he had? Considering that the earlier it happens the more the club benefits.

These things seem to take sometime. And don't let the fallacy that Watmough was off the books in a week let things cloud the judgement, it had been in the works for months.

Yes he was and his departure probably saved us next to SFA in the cap, but we couldn't exactly be seen to be making signings while at the same time pushing out players to save points. FTR I think Evans and his long arms will be a great buy for next year but obviously that doesn't help us much right now.
I reckon Evans is quality. Like Alvaro, his workrate in limited minutes means he could play longer if needed, but has a lot more attacking ability than Alvaro, or indeed than any of our forwards barring Vave or maybe Brown.

I'm sure if we went back far enough Pou Bear though you would've suggested both Lussick and Harrison were quality signings at the time too.

You just come up with a dribbling argument whenever Parra buys a particular player, that the player is awesome and whenever they dont resign someone thay they're useless and not required.

You change your opinion on players Poe Bear as necessary as you change your underwear.

Jane Evans is not much more than a fringe plodder, he hates the tough stuff, i hear people calling him a hard ass, well thats BS.
The roosters wont miss him and unless his form has a complete 180, hes going to be below average, hes been going backwards for over a year now.
Hes no special signing although i admit he had a decent break out year.

They do and I believe that Watmough's case was dealt with expediently in order to get us under the cap. But the timing of the injury may still be seen as a precedent. If we hold on to IDG and he comes good eventually then I'm not sure that's good for us.

You're not fooling anyone. If he wanted to crawl into a cow's stomach with you, you wouldn't hesitate.
