Firstly, that's complete nonsense but I'm going to the pub so I couldn't be bothered. I'm sure someone else will point out why.

Secondly, that dopes not mean the clubs set the salary cap. The NRL has given them a mark with which to comply. It may be more, but it may not, and clubs who have jumped the gun will be caught out badly. You cannot sign 10.2 million worth of contracts and then whine when the NRL says the cap is 9.1

You'd have to assume the latter. Seems like a BA sort of thing to do.

Moses will obviously stay 7, Normy 6 - even if everyone was healthy). In the short team you'd think with Hoff's injury putting him out for a while Gutho will fill in the vacant backline spot (either he or Auva'a will play wing)

I think it makes a lot of sense for the Sharks' rebuild but not much sense for Souths. They already have a goalkicker and experience in the spine.
