@Stagger eel mentioned in the Ricky Stuart thread on the main NRL page (it's one of my all time fave threads that one and Saturday nights presser only enhanced it for me!) that there are some disgruntled Raiders wanting out of the joint and Paulo was not who he was referring to... Might be a handy player or 2 to swoop on if things continue to go pear-shaped in the capital

But really who would you take? Paulo yes but he'd have to drop 20kg, maybe Boyd for cheap given he's gone to absolute shit this year. They won't let Hodgson go and we couldn't afford him (and he loves the joint anyway). A young kid like Cotric isn't gonna be wanting out the way he's playing. Whitehead yes.

Othwerwise there's an awful lot of unbelievably dumb footballers down here who I wouldn't touch.

Hodgson won't be leaving unless he goes home, everything suggests he loves Canberra. I suppose compared to Hull even Canberra looks amazing....

I'd love Cotric but at his age and with his history I don't see him leaving town. Although it might be best for him.

Shannon Boyd for sure. He fits the bill particularly well in terms of looking like someone who is now suffering from a Ricky Stuart bulk-induced malaise that has seen his stocks plummet alarmingly. He definitely looks like he could benefit from getting away from the joint.

Luke Bateman would be a good pick up. Erin Clark hasn't been there that long to have Stuart stuff him up. Elliot Whitehead would also be good but I can see him back to England. Not much else there really.

Luke Bateman would be a good pick up. Erin Clark hasn't been there that long to have Stuart stuff him up. Elliot Whitehead would also be good but I can see him back to England. Not much else there really.

Clark showed some promise a while back. Raiders site lists him at 101kg now (not sure how accurate that is though) and he's been working on transitioning to hooker.

Realistically he's young enough to come good. But there are plenty of similar level players around.

He's a solid club player, works hard. Beau Scott is a good comparison.

Honestly I don't reckon we need to "replace" Scott as such. Brown brings the toughness with way more upside.

Josh Jackson is twice the player of Beau nowdays...Ray stone will be a very good replacement in 2019.

And that is the best form of defense, being able to score and deflate the opposition.

When a teams knows your not dangerous with ball they take more risks in attack knowing they can repel your inadequate attack if turn the ball over. When they fear your attack they play safer making it easier to defend.

Why teams throw ball around against knights.

I can't comment on his salary but the bloke absolutely loves Canberra and unless something goes very wrong won't be going anywhere. Except maybe home, which is always an option for Pommy players.
