What is it with this hard-on you have for Terepo?
He's ok, sure, but you seem to be overrating him massively.
He's all speed, no power. He runs it hard and looks good getting the ball. Excuse he has some speed, but when he hits the defensive line he stops as if he's hitting a brick wall. He rarely breaks tackles and doesn't have much in the way of footwork. He's not even that great a defender - not as good as Mannah or Alvaro anyway.

A player who runs like Terepo does should have size to create a bigger impact on the defensive line. He does not have that. He needs to develop some footwork to become a better player.
Having said that, in his very few games this year he seemed to have found a decent before-the-line passing game, but he needs more than that.

And he also has hands like feet.

My god, I thought I was the only one. People keep talking him up and he's basically Alvaro without the quick play the balls and the wrestle and I thought I must have been watching the wrong player for years now.

I'd pick him over Mannah at the moment but.

You can work hard in limited minutes. Brown only makes 0.5 tackles per minute because he has to conserve his energy for 80 minutes. But Mannah can go nuts because he is playing less than 40 every week. Why do we need him to play longer minutes? We have Alvaro to directly replace him.

We have enough NRL quality middle forwards that we don't need anyone other than Brown playing longer than 40.

Mannah is also a leader. Arthur has said so on numerous occasions. He mightn't be the best captain because he's not a big talker, but he leads by example, which is the basis of effectively leadership anyway.

So we have a great 1-7 and forward pack. Why arent we winning easily if its all perfect?

He's a decent player to have in your squad - he can defend well enough, and doesn't cost much (I hope).
I'm not saying he's worthless, just that hindy seems to think he's the best prop we've got, which seems crazy to me.

We do need another big man in the middle, which is why we have signed Evans and Meehan.

I hope he comes back from injury and proves you correct. And I'm in no way saying we have great props at all.
But I couldn't put him above Alvaro. Vave is better in attack. In defence Mannah is better. He's probably on par with Matagi, maybe.

But there's no doubt that Brown is our best man in the middle.

Pretty sure I've mentioned it a lot of times, but anyway....

A quality hooker, a big winger to replace Semi, and replace Mannah or Terepo with another rangy prop to interchange with Evans. Backrow is tops, halves and backline are very good (with the exception of Semi leaving), the pack is probably just one player short of where it needs to be with the Evans signing taken into account. Hooker is the biggest issue, Pritchard and King is still hardly an inspiring rotation.

I've never once said we can't improve the side so don't try and imply I did. With all the being said now, who do you sign? It's all well and good to say "we need x and y" but if they aren't available then you can't sign them. Simple.

I'd have given Peats his 600k. There aren't any good rangy props on the market so I'd have a look at Agnatius Paasi. Joe Ofahengaue might be worth a punt but he will stay for Bronco dollars. And I'd chase Marika Koroibete hard given what's happening in Australian rugby. But the fact is there isn't much of what we need available. The best hooker left on the market is Cameron King.

I'm not arguing who would be the better fit for us. I just don't think Graham is a star. I reckon him and Jackson are about even and are probably paid a fairly similar amount

Wade Graham is one of the best playmakers in a premiership winning side. Jackson is a very solid worker but he offers little in attack. He barely played on the edge in Origin this year. He mostly played in the middle with the plodders.

I disagree he's not a good defender. His line speed is excellent and he doesn't miss tackles. His work rate isn't as good as Mannah or Alvaro, but it is still around 0.6 per minute, which is very good. He is a great defender.

Ordinary in attack though. His best go seems to be hitting gaps but his hands let him down. (And yes I know he made zero errors this year but he only played two f**ken games FFS.)

Who said we have a great forward pack? Our middle is solid defensively but it offers little in attack.

I may have worded my point about his defence the wrong way.
What I meant was that while he is a good defender, I don't believe he is as good as Mannah or Alvaro.

I meant some of the other criticism as well. I dunno what he's like at club level but I suspect he's very good. Anyone who can play like he did in that series must be top notch. You have any stats on him?
