I really can't see schools being involved in junior development the way you think it would. Our entire structure of junior sport in this country is different to that of the USA.

Neither Parramatta nor Penrith can be touched. They're too geographically important.

Merge the Roosters and Rabbitohs, or just kill off the Tigers and Bulldogs. The only other team that should be considered for chopping is the Sharks.

Out of those 5, two go. Then bring in Brisbane2 and Perth. After that, the NRL needs to look into player development to push out to 18 teams with NZ2, Adelaide and another Queensland team the options.

If that player development means centralisation and the essential loss of reserve grade as it currently is, then so be it. If it means a draft in some form, then so be it.

I don't get the fascination with Adelaide. More people would watch NRL longer term in Rockhampton or Mackay than they ever will in Adelaide.

Yes I agree, I have been calling it AFL for so long I just can't help myself, if just rolls of the tongue. But I genuinely don't mean to offend gay people. Love the f**kers.

Afl is a great game but for the last quarter. Exciting and fast. Problem with games and a lot of points is you dont get as big a high when score.
In soccer a goal is a huge point and so get maybe 2 or 3 a game. In league you only average maybe 6 tries a game so again its a decent high. When 25+ scoring plays it isn't as big a rush when score. So 2hrs of it for me is a bit much.

I'm not 100% sure how I'd feel about if we had to merge, I wouldn't really know for sure until it actually happened. But from a purely selfish standpoint, I think the team would need to wear blue and gold and be called the Eels. Western Sydney Eels wearing our traditional colours for home games, maybe black jerseys like the Panthers wear for the odd away game... I could live that.
