But for half that price he starts to look pretty good.

Obviously I have no idea what our cap position is like, but it rumours are correct that we are looking pretty healthy (and most of our players are signed up until the end of 2019), I would happily give him $600k p/a for two year (which the dogs topping up his 2018 contract).

I really believe we lack a forward leader and the experience of a quality middle forward.

Obviously stats don't tell the future picture but for an old man, he aren't going to bad , around 120m / 34 tackles a game (don't have game time) in a shit attacking side !!

How many touches for those 120m?

Why give in to the dogs. Klemmer is the last player they'd release, So why should we help them out by taking an aging pommie bastard. I can't see many clubs interested in any of the dogs players considering they are on heavily back ended deals. I'd be talking to his manager and at least matching his dollars. Give the dogs a genuine option to think about. They may not need to release too many players if we take klemmer full freight.

I think the failed Watmough signing has taught BA a valuable lesson in acquiring high paid forwards past their used by date.

There was a prodcast this week on fox sports with Ben Ikin and others this week where they talked about the eels. They mentioned watmough and said while he may have not be a success on the field, what he probably brought off the field around training / preparation/ playing injured would have invaluable to a young / inexperienced eels pack.

Gotta say that Benji has handled himself pretty well this year. I wouldn't want him at Parramatta but his attitude has changed my mind about him being a total merkin.

What's with the mild Nu Brown love? Another halfway player who isn't creative enough to be a half but isn't anywhere near a good enough defender to be a genuine hooker. King is better, might as well just re-sign him. Unless we're talking Nu Brown playing six for Wenty as a Wenty signing.

I have never understood the Benji hate? Can someone explain it to me please? He's never claimed to be something he is not and i don't remember any controversies.......i am always confused when people put shit on him.

Well firstly he's not an Eels player so he must be a merkin. But I got the impression through the whole end of his Tigers career and the going to Rugby thing that he thought he was above the game. Same as when he was leaving the Dragons and holding out for a big contract far above what he was worth. I'll admit though that we only get the impression that we do through the media and it's often unfair. I'm saying I think I was wrong.

They just said triple m that Benji has been signed for the Wtigers next year.
i guess that means Brisbane have freed up a whole heap of salary cap space and now can afford to sign a bunch of big name players like Klemmer, Woods, Hayne, Semi and Foran
