IMO with a full medical clearance and open honest discussion agreed to by BA and Jarryd, Hayne replacing Semi on Semi's wage for the next 12 months would be a good fit.

Not doubt we paid him the most when he was here but he loved the club too. Forget the dream stuff and the lifetime contract, if the above is a chance, then its on Parra's terms and which is a no lose situation

I wonder if the club is keen, they just want him to be desperate first.

This joint still can't make up its mind on Hayne (me included).

He's an arsehole (but maybe wouldn't be if he came back)
He's on too much money (but might be value if the Titans chip in half)
He's past it (but the talent is still there if he can be motivated)
He's poison to clubs (but maybe around friends he would fit back in)
Coaches can't control him (but BA will sort him out)
We have no spots for him (unless......he wants to go on Semi's wing)
He burnt us last year (but we might forgive him if he comes back for cheap).

What a circus. I don't want him back, to me the risk is too great. I would be absolutely stunned if it happened. But we have no say and imagine if he did and it went well.

I vote poison.

Despite their setback against the Knights last weeekend, the Eels are steaming towards the finals in impressive style.

And remarkably, they have achieved their successes this season without the assistance of a high performance manager.

But the club is now advertising for a HPM for next season to improve their on and off field efforts.

One of the interesting applicants was former Sharks trainer Trent Elkin.

Elkin was one of the scapegoats of the Sharks’ drugs scandal a few years back, losing his job.

He has since been cleared of any wrong doing but despite impressive credentials, can’t get a break and was passed over by the Eels. "

Roll out all the stops for big Klem. I think he has much more potential then what he shows. Des is apparently safe, so get him face time with Arthur, the player love the merkin.

Agreed. Size in the middle is still our biggest problem. Adding Klemmer, who has good stats and is what we need in attack, would help us greatly. Be good if the dogs pay for some of his contract too.

Why would they? He would be in demand by atleast 9 clubs. Reported to be on 600k I am sure atleast 5 clubs would offer him more then thsst and take full freight.
Him and Jackson would be two guys they could offload easily.

Most others would need to be subsidised. The most sense for the club would be Graheme. Reported to be on a mill I am sure knights would pay 500k.
Eastwood i do not see anyone wanting to shell put more then 200-250. And same goes for the Morris boys. Mbye may also be their next best option.
They take a hit in 2018 and keep squad they want for 2019. Unless every other club decides to screw them and not touch any of their players. I guess depends on if those clubs want Foran or Woods.

In this case could either sue like Hoppa did to eels? Say other clubs can only offer Foran 1/2 the amount.

I did say a heavily discounted rate people. Graham is on a massive 8-900k back ended deal from what I heard. So if we could get him for 4-500k, then I think that would be awesome value to the team.

Don't look at the way he is playing now at the dogs. I mean why would you be playing out of your skin each week for no result at his age. But put him in an up and coming talented and enthusiastic team, coached by a much loved and savvy operator who will get rid of all that Dessie noise in your head and simplify your game and I think that he will be a totally different and rejuvenated player.

His professionalism and dog with a bone attitude mentality is what will rub off on our boys. Plus a change and brand new challenge is probably what the doctor ordered at this junction of his career.

Yeah I can. No, a thousand times no, at any price.

The guy would just kill our squad...

I'd love to get our hands on Klemmer though, if we have cap room for him, he'd be a great addition to the forward pack.
Agreed, we don't need an outside back on huge coin.

We need to improve our pack, it's the main thing stopping us from being a contender.

Problem is he's also worth every cent for about ten other clubs

That's all well and good, but he could walk into a strong club with a great future on the park in the next few years with the real chance of challenging for a premiership.

On top of that a coach that players seem to rave about non stop and he doesn't have to move his kids out of schools etc. Ask players at clubs like Souths and Penrith if they think their coach is a great person and see what answers you get.
