Jnr is a powerhouse prop. They do not come along often.
Sorry but guys like Mannah,Alvaro although are handy and needed are a lot easier to find.
Mock Ricky all you want but he has gotten one up on us there. Jnr was the best prop we have developed since Jason Cayless

I wouldn't say he's gotten one up on us - we nabbed Kane Evans.

And Evans is superior in every aspect, except maybe metres per run.

Evans makes more tackles (and misses fewer).
Evans more minutes
Evans breaks the line more
Evans is more agile
Evans has more speed

Evans is a great addition to this pack, tbpf, and I cannot understand why more people aren't psyched about his signing!

I am stoked with the signing. Not only are his stats decent he also adds a different body type to our forward pack. Our tallest forwards, and 2/3 of our best middle forwards, are Tep and Alvaro at 190cm, Evans is billed at 199cm. His height will be massive for us

I was a huge fan of Evans in 2015. He hasnt kicked on and in 2017 he went backwards. I hope that was due to leaving club and coach barely using him.
Thought he could be a top prop in game.

Jnr is a weapon. He averaged 150mtrs a game. And steam rolled a few on the way. Big fan.

I'll preface this comparison by saying that I'm aware Paulo is one of the better attacking forwards in the game, and would also be on huge coin at the Raiders. How much better was he this year than Evans? I'm sure Evans was better value for money, going off my assessment of how much the two players are on. I'd say Paulo was on about $700k and Evans was on about $250k. I think Evans will be on about $400k next year.

Here are the stats. The grain of salt that must be taken here is that Paulo played three times as many minutes as Evans in 2017.

Evans vs Paulo in 2017:

Minutes/game
26 Evans
55 Paulo

Tackles/minute
0.52 Evans
0.37 Paulo (probably the lowest in the NRL)

Tackle effectiveness
96% Evans
91% Paulo

Runs/minute
0.28 Evans
0.27 Paulo

Metres/run
9.7 Evans
9.5 Paulo

Tackle breaks/run
0.14 Evans
0.17 Paulo

Offloads/run
0.08 Evans
0.09 Paulo

LBAs/run
0.008 Evans
0.006 Paulo

Errors/run
0.05 Evans
0.03 Paulo

Kane Evans' per run output is comparable to Paulo's, and given his workrate in previous years, we will be able to increase his minutes significantly without turning him into a defensive liability:

Evans 2016
34 minutes/game
0.64 tackles/minute
94% tackle effectiveness

Evans 2015
27 minutes/game
0.69 tackles/minute
94% tackle effectiveness

Evans 2014
22 minutes/game
0.67 tackles/minute
94% tackle effectiveness
