I was a huge fan of Evans in 2015. He hasnt kicked on and in 2017 he went backwards. I hope that was due to leaving club and coach barely using him.
Thought he could be a top prop in game.

Jnr is a weapon. He averaged 150mtrs a game. And steam rolled a few on the way. Big fan.

Junior is very good, no doubt about it.

But I think we get more from Evans, because he's a better defender.

I'll preface this comparison by saying that I'm aware Paulo is one of the better attacking forwards in the game, and would also be on huge coin at the Raiders. How much better was he this year than Evans? I'm sure Evans was better value for money, going off my assessment of how much the two players are on. I'd say Paulo was on about $700k and Evans was on about $250k. I think Evans will be on about $400k next year.

Apparently Takauako and Liu are both on less than $250k at the Roosters, so I doubt Evans was on $250k

20-25 minutes is exactly right.

Evans is nothing but a stop gap player, giving Napa & JWH their required rest 10 minutes each side of halftime, meaning he plays a fresh 10 minute spell each time.

After 10-12 minutes he is absolutely fekked and must be subtituted. It's easy to have a great defensive rate when you're only needed for 12 minutes.

Don't get your unicorn juices too excited, because Evans will be in the black and white of Wentworthvile before you can say magpies.

I'm not too sure if BA can pull off a miracle here.

3/10 player imo - his running style gives the impression like there's 10 kg dumbells strapped to his boots.

Takauako over Evans any day.

Lock in Evans then.

As long as you're happy, that's all that counts. It's the placebo effect

Evans is a project player. He could end up like Vaughn or may fluff right out.
At worse he is a first grader with some size. Untill I see him fire there is no reason to get excited.
Plenty raved on about Vave when signed him.
He is low in the ladder of props.

Hindy I hope you're correct and I'm wrong, but one thing in his favor is his age at 25, there is certainly room for improvement.

Most of the negativity surrounding Evans is the fact that he hasn't kicked on. Hopefully he comes good.

As I mentioned many moons ago from a guy who knows him. He was saying that Kane Evans was not treated particularly well at the Roosters at all especially considering coming through the system for about 7 years with them. He was playing a role that they asked him to play, not that he wanted to play. Short minutes etc...
He has plenty of pedigree and has told his family he is filthy and is going to Parra as he believes BA can get him back on his path to becoming a top prop in the NRL. He believe he can be an elite prop and BA backs him as well. He has also been saying he has a massive point to prove.
I like him, he will be a good buy.

I reckon a few of Evans stats would drop a fair bit if he was playing 55min a game
Of course they would - 55 minutes is too long for most forwards. Junior Paulo wouldn't be such a liability in defence if he played shorter minutes.

We already have an 80 minute prop in Nathan Brown. That leaves 160 minutes to be split amongst the other four (plus Tepai Moeroa). There isn't room for anyone else to play more than 40 minutes.
