And where does your little birdie see French playing again?
Anyone could ... the question is whether you'd enjoy it ....I could pull off that backline.
If Hayne comes, and realistically its probably better than 50% chance, does he play fb or centre? Where does Gutho and French fit in the team? If I was coach, Gutho fb, Hayne centre and French wing.At the very least that means is French is starting fullback and they plan to use Gutho in the centres.
I can't see Taka playing at full strength

Obviously BA knows that but I assume has had a long talk to him spelling out what he wants from him. If we're smart we'd have some incentive payments built into his contract. So unless he performs he stays on a low payment. And on a 1 year contract with another in club's favour.Personally I think his defence in the middle would be ordinary. He's a reasonably poor defender in general but middle defenders need a better work ethic than he's ever had.
I agree that Gutho won’t be fit for round 1 but I reckon Hayne temporarily plays fullback and French stays on the wing. Taka remains in the centres until Guth is ready. We then have a backline reshuffle with Guth to fullback, Hayne to centre and Taka to the bench as an edge forward.Likely that Gutho will miss the first month, which is the main reason I think French will get another crack at fullback

I think it will depend on how long Guth is on the sidelines. If it’s a game or two then you’re probably right. Anything more though, I’d want to get off to as strong a start as possible. For mine, that meansIF Hayne comes on board and BA wants him in the centres and Taka on the bench, wouldn't it make more sense to start with:
1. Hoffman (or French)
2. French (or Hoffman)
3. Jennings
4. Hayne
5. A'auvo
14. Taka
When Gutho comes back it means only change (2 max.) and makes the pre-season preparation more realistic.
I don’t think queefy will believe you
No, I think @IALB is offering a service.*over
Auva'a won a premiership playing centre in his rookie season. You can win a comp with a dominant forward pack, a good kick chase and defense.
Guys like Davis or Younger Jennings would hold there own if given a chance.
lolThe Roar are reporting
The thing about incentives is that they don't really protect the club's cap position because they are included under the cap if they are expected to be achieved in that season.Obviously BA knows that but I assume has had a long talk to him spelling out what he wants from him.
