These players are not wanting to play Union in the off season for the experience, it's for the money.

The NRL would be better off finding suitable ways to increase the cap, relax TPA rules etc to entice players to want to stay or so the thought of offseason game time isn't an issue.

How would you feel if your best player/s did their ACL playing competitive rugby at the end of an off season? How does that benefit anyone?

Mate their shouldn't be a cap. Just a draft. That way only the best survive. This pandering to the nostalgic Sydney market must end. There have always been too many clubs in Sydney. Either merge, relocate and find other markets or play in a second tier comp. We are in a billion dollar market and are still hampered by nostalgia that does not work in today's market.

Certainly you run the risk of injury but I don't think the NRL can match French rugby for one and you can't just create money from nothing.

He can break the contract provided that any deals done by the current manager he has to pay the commission til the contract ends.
Other players have done it before.

I can see anything in the rules to that effect, but I guess they may bury it in the Standard Player Agent Agreement.

Would be strange though....there are provisions in the Rules for notification that a Player Agent agreement has been terminated etc.

A bit of thinking outside the box. We put a 50Kg female on the wing- A good looking one. I doubt the opposition would run at her so in defense we could compress it would be shock tactics. We haven't nothing t paly for so it would be funny

It is easy to say oh stuff Semi and if Jnrs wants big money let him go. But what are we going to have a team of reserve graders? It is not easy to just replace first graders and get them from other clubs unless pay them overs.

That sounds fine, Avenger. But how happy would you (or I) be if Parramatta was forced to merge? How does the Western Sydney Panthers sound? Would you follow them with the same passion? Would I?

You're better off paying overs for a player worth $200k than for one worth $500k. You'll end up with more talent in your team.
