Im not really convinced by the way BA gets a few old guys in the squad for depth - like Fritchard and Trex ... i know they are cheap but i dont think they offer much - i reckon you would be better off giving a young guy who is fringe (or off the fringe) nrl the odd game here and there to keep em interested - i think they can offer just as much as an aging player ... and we have enough experienced heads around at the moment

Would you select Keppie in the Top 30 ahead of Ray Stone, Leleisuao or Niukore? I would think these players would be the ones likely to be “forcing” Keppie to wait twelve months to move into the top squad ahead of Williams and possibly Pritchard.

Niukore is obviously the better player, but he's also playing on the edge where we are presently pretty well stocked. I'd consider the idea of taking a hit to keep a promising prop with Keppie's build.

Definitely ahead of Prichard but I doubt he will be retained. Well I hope not.
Probably ahead of Williams. If only we knew in advance if we signed T Rex or She Rex.
GL? Who knows but there were some worrying signs in the GF.
I liked the look of Keppie but I'd like to see him play against men before I'd throw decent money at him.
Stone and Niukori are class.

If we don’t re-sign Pritchard I think we may look at locking Keppie up long term. Keppie has played most of his football at lock and is a different shape to Stone but at this stage Stone has the edge as a middle forward. I would think he needs time at Wenty before he is “locked” up.

Don't we have 30 spots plus four to six development spots to fill?

I would have thought that'd leave more than enough room for promising young blokes and a few old cheapies.

What do you mean by She Rex? Are you saying he can't run the ball? In his last ten games he has made 86 carries for 27 tackle breaks. That's pretty good. His main issue has been fitness, which is directly caused by his recent injury proneness. It's hard to stay to when you're injured (and lazy) and even harder to get fit once the season has started (and you're lazy).

Stone is nothing special but is a better player than Sean Keppie. I'm glad we haven't thrown a top 30 spot at him just to keep him. We aren't that desperate club any more.

I’m bit each way on it but yeah definitely reckon there’s really only room for one of Frank and Tony. But I wouldn’t then go throw that spot to Keppie and maybe not even one of the 6 development players
