Mate I don’t get how she even got into it. She knows so much about it and I’ve never seen her watch it. Apparently she watches it on YouTube. I asked her once if she knew who Rick Flair was and she said yeah his daughter is a wrestler now. John Sena is her favourite though
The true test is ask her "What is Dwayne Johnson most famous for?"

This all said I think Ram is right and Kikau & even Shaun Lane COULD be good players. Kikau's footwork for a big man is particularly impressive. But they were so far from what we lacked on Sunday that mentioning them as players we need is ridiculous. How would of Kikau stopped Blake scoring in the first half? Negating the fact his was in the lead up to it, how would have Kikau stopped the play that led to Moses' binning? He'd have been walking back into position like the majority of his (fitter) teammates

I advocated signing Kikau. I rate him.

But comparing him to semi after 8 games is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen on here. Just behind Shaun Lane being better than Moeroa

The point is that when we are going backwards and the game is going against us for whatever reason, it is very, very hard to change that negative momentum unless a player or two that can break a dominating defense all on their own like Semi used to.

No one is saying that Kikau is as good as or the next Semi ffs. But when Semi first came on the scene he also showed that he could break a game open at the blink of an eye. No one was saying he was the next Grothe Snr after just a handful of games.

Kikau is that sort of player. He comes on and can change the momentum of games. That's, at this point in time, his main job. He is a destructive ball runner. Two or three seasons of NRL down the line he may be a more complete player, but for now he is used as an impact player. We have impact players in Terepo and Edwards. Both good, but Kikau is something else.

And as for Shaun Lane finally becoming a first grader. Yes that may be true, but the point is to spot them before everyone else. You guys had/have him on the scrap heap.

I on the other hand have been pointing out tall/big forwards, the type that we don't have that we should be looking at. The problem with Lane isn't ability, but attitude and fitness. I think that BA can sort that out for a lot of players, so unless they are complete basket cases, I think that that would not be a problem. He is a very good large ball playing forward. We could definitely do with that.

Kikau may play like crap for the rest of the year, it's irrelevant. Fact is, he steam rolled us and his team got the 2 points and we didn't. Come the end of the season, let's hope these 2 points don't cost us a finals spot.

I agree with this.
Our attack wasn't the problem in that game. We scored 14 points in pretty quick succession.
It was when we got too tired from doing all that shithouse defending, plus having our halfback off the field for a huge chunk of the game that put an end to our scoring.

Kikau was awesome. Seems like he will be a very good player. But let's give him at least a whole season in FG before we declare him the next Taumololo.

The only reason we got off to a good start in that game was due to the Panthers constant errors and penalties. Once they got it together, we had no answers. Yes we compounded it this the Moses incidents, but the Panthers were always making great ground from the outset bar the errors.

The duke has put together a nice squad. Workers who also make impact like Yeo,Merrin,Tamou then they unleash the power of Rcg,Kikau,Jfh....
All our players are first graders. But the balance is off. KE,Terepo and maybe T rex or Niaukore can change this. Even Vae if he pulls his finger out.

But relax Ram apparently our smaller pack struggled in the heat and once gets cooler we be fine. I always thought it be the other way around but what would I know.
Usually the big blokes struggle in the heat, so what happened? Did we have to work extra hard to stop their bigger players so along with the heat we faded? Lets see if we struggle in the heat again against Moanly. If we lose will BA finally make some changes or remain stubborn again which he has a habit of doing.

Kikau didn't change the momentum of the game. Penrith didn't even change their effort. We just stopped putting in the required effort in defence for whatever reason, which led directly to Blake's first try and then Moses' binning, from there it was quicksand. Having butterfingers and generally not respecting the ball also didn't help. All of these deficiencies are also commonly found in the prototypical "impact" player, i.e. poor hands/poor defence, and at best an impact player would have only papered over the larger team issues. Remember back to last game last season, up against Cows but everyone knew who the dominant team was going into halftime, despite Semi having major impact. Remember back to Hayne pre-NFL

#edit... fixed to correct quote

Are you an imbecile:

1. He would have made the tackle that Manu missed on Blake
2. He would have been fast enough to catch up with Cleary when he made his break and not let him get the pass away
3. He would have turned around and run 70 metres untouched instead of scoring for Penrith

FFS, Kikau is the 2nd coming. Don't you know this already
