Kikau didn't change the momentum of the game. Penrith didn't even change their effort. We just stopped putting in the required effort in defence for whatever reason, which led directly to Blake's first try and then Moses' binning, from there it was quicksand. Having butterfingers and generally not respecting the ball also didn't help. All of these deficiencies are also commonly found in the prototypical "impact" player, i.e. poor hands/poor defence, and at best an impact player would have only papered over the larger team issues. Remember back to last game last season, up against Cows but everyone knew who the dominant team was going into halftime, despite Semi having major impact. Remember back to Hayne pre-NFL
Oh just like Semi used to. Against the better(larger) teams even Semi's heroics aren't enough a lot of the time.
