1. French
6. Norman
7. Moses

This combo has played six games together.

1. Gutherson
6. Norman
7. Moses

This has occurred four times ffs.

I don’t see your point. Are you saying the sole reason for the teams poor attack over the past couple of seasons is because the spine hasn’t played together for long enough? Last time I checked Norman/Moses have played together more than the halves of the team that put 54 points on us.

Last year we started with 2 wins from 6 and then the roosters put 48 on us in Round 10. We have some pedigree when it comes to poor starts to seasons.

If you look at our squad we have plenty of skill and ability, there is just no will or desire.

Are we getting smashed too much at training? Leaving nothing in the tank? The TCT reports talk about how intense and focused our training is, then game day it falls apart. Half the boys were uploading photos on social media all game day morning at various beaches across Sydney. It seems our game day prep lacks focus. Warming up for 30+ mins in 40 degree temps is purely on BA, but the players are missing something that no amount of training is going to give them...

Manly’s attack is all about their middle forwards though. Our attack runs through our halves.

Manly had over 60% possession yesterday and their halves touched the ball 80 times. We had less than 40% possession, including Moses missing ten minutes of footy, and our two touched the ball 76 times.

Umm.. i think i was kinda saying the same thing. Our backs cannot do anything inside the 20 because they need more room.
Actually I don't think room is the issue. We would score more if we had more than one set play. Where are our decoy runners, or players running different lines at speed?

Would you say the reason we’ve struggled to score since the second half of last week is more due to our spine not playing together or just general poor use of the ball in hand?

Sorry but what's wrong with going to the beach first thing in the morning for a swim? f**ks sake.

I would say fatigue is limiting our movement off the ball. Something Arthur (and every other coach, by the looks of things) calls 'effort areas'. Lack of decoy/support runners means defenders can gang up on the bloke with the ball. They aren't overloaded with numbers so they don't have to make any decisions. When they're not making decisions they're not making any bad decisions and so the playmakers have no options.

I can understand that reasoning for yesterday but that doesn’t explain the past few seasons. Since 2015 I would say we have had mediocre attack. We very rarely blow parks off the team as Corey Norman would say.

That was all you took out of that? FFS.

My issue isn’t them going to the beach.... its querying whether their minds are on the job or they are more interested in how to get more likes on Instagram

You sounds like my Mrs hahaha.

Seriously though. They are young men (most of them) who don't get to go out on the town getting pissed a lot of the time like most guys their age so posting pics of them at the beach is pretty harmless IMO.

But it’s not about blowing teams off the park, it’s about winning, and since 2016 we’ve done plenty of that.

It may be stupid and insignificant but when you train really well all week and then get flogged 54-0 I think every element of game day preparation comes under the microscope, and will continue to until we look on the ball and focused for the majority of a game win or lose

So you're suggesting they were too sunburnt to play? ;P

No but given it way 35+ degrees spending the morning in an air con’d building may have been a better choice when you know you’ve got a game on in a few hrs

I went to the beach for a swim yesterday morning and it had absolutely no impact on my ability to watch the game in my lounge room and scream at the TV. None whatsoever.

Oh my god. If you're seriously thinking a swim in the morning could impact their game in the arvo you need your head read.
