I didn't say any team has bucket loads of a chance to get TPS's. But what I am saying is that if there are opportunities for TPA's we should be in a position as good as any other team in the Sydney market to get them considering all of this clubs positives and resources.

So in other words we should be able to sign the cream of the crop, if our coach and management is up to it.
Mate the TPAs are smoke and mirrors ... its not a level playing field ... the roosters get more cos they have friends and connections .... we dont

If you whern't impressed with Paulo's game yesterday and i'm not referring to statistics, then you don't understand RL as much as you think you do.
He was outperformed by almost every other Raiders forward. His contribution was minimal. A couple of big runs doesn't add up to a valuable contribution. Fifita carried the ball 22 times FFS.

They got 6 penalties ... thats a whole bunch of repeat sets right there
Statistics mean little. They only offer clues to the root cause. What was the root cause? Fatigue? Lack of confidence? Looking for shortcuts? Ill discipline? Poor coaching?

You do realize they don't need to and every other club is at an equal footing on this point. However when you have a rich leagues club and savvy management, it is and should be an advantage over clubs that don't. Players would find a professional rich organization a distinct advantage over one that hasn't got the same resources as a positive during their playing time there and sometimes after footy too.

Example Roosters.

So again, why can't we sign the cream of the crop like others do?

So you want us to cheat. Again.

You are right and provided that the 0-6 penalty count was an direct reflection of our ill discipline and Sharks perfection, then we need to look at why or who it happened.

No doubt that we cause some of it, but can you really say that the penalty count was a direct reflection of the teams on the park ?

We looked totally gassed but thats probably due to tactics, inability to pressure the defence, errors and tackle technique. Do you think we seem to have to work harder than other teams in defence to get a positive result?

Considering we had 40% of the ball and only let in one try while our bench was down to 2 probably indicates fitness wasn't an issue last night.

I guess you are saying that if we had a more favourable referee then the result would have been different. Tis a hard thing to rely on mate. Good teams overcome adversity (mostly except in golden point) .We have lost mental toughness. We, as a team, never looked for excuses. Even BA is running with some early this season. Not a good think imo.

It's interesting that people will pick and choose the stat from the particular site that better sells their argument

It's also interesting that a match with 8 tries has 72 minutes of playing time, a match with 6 tries has 67.5 minutes of playing time and a match with only 2 tries has 61 minutes of playing time.

Surely a match with more tries would have less playing time, given that there is no play between a try and the goal kick and then the goal kick and kick off to restart.

Except the high number of tries is evidence that there was more ball in play.
