The old takes longer for front rowers to develop get out clause. If we want to win now and Keppie won't be good for a number of seasons, why give a shit who he plays for next season? "Because then he'd be cheaper to us" - there's years of factors that will determine how good he is and how much he'll cost, and again he's no use to us winning now so who cares?
Plus he's not even the best forward we currently have in his age group or younger. Are you saying we should lose some of those players because you think 5-10 years from now Keppie will be better, when all current evidence points to them being better?
I like Keppie but him leaving is hardly a killer blow nor it is a symptom of some endemic problem BA has with younger players or the club being unable to develop quality players
