I've liked what I've seen of T-Rex this year.

Wouldn't mind if we offered him a new deal.

Early days. Im far from convinced as yet. Would much prefer him off the bench. Fingers crossed but I'm not expecting a great deal from him. Hope I'm proved wrong though.

It is early days, and he is a defensive liability at times.

But his job is to run hard and wide, and pop a few offloads.

And he's doing it well, imo.

I agree that he's better off the bench- I think Williams and Edwards off the bench together can cause havoc.

If we continue to use T-Rex on the edge, I'd like to see him and Edwards come on and Manu have a bit more of a spell...go harder in his time on the field.

Last season we relied heavily on our back row, and I think this season we have the ingredients to at least use them better than we are.

Last season I thought Ma'u and Cordner were the two best edge backrowers in the game...this season I feel like Ma'u has cut back on his attacking work a bit.

You don't lose that in an off-season, so maybe if we gave him a bit longer rest he could get back into that kind of attacking headspace again...? I dunno. But wither way we still have four very good back rowers in Moeroa, Ma'u, T-Rex and Kenny and I think our halves need to use them more often, and better

T-Rex off the bench will depend on if the starting pack man up and not get rolled.

Depends who else is on the bench.

But really the whole Williams better coming off bench is a throwback to unlimited interchange in most cases. Realistically he's probably only going to play half a game, so ideally he either starts, subs off and then subs back on again for end of game; or sits on bench, subs on before halftime than subs off midway through second

Maybe one and a quarter given Edwards can play lock.
