You have been watching Corey Norman play right.?
That's our problem, Who from Nsw cup can play in the halves in Nrl.? No one at all.
No competition for spots.
Roberts would be cheap. He is also very creative.
Would put pressure on Norman/Mosses to perform.

As for your comment regarding a hooker. I totally agree but who do you suggest. There isnt many out there.
Would Farrah fill avoid for a year or so.? maybe Danny Levi from Knights now Slade Griffen is the starting 9.
Also we need more than just a hooker.
We require 2 big explosive middels
We require 1 back rower
We require 1 centre
We require Semi back

Yes but that requires him being happy as a back-up. Given his versatility I can think of a few sides who would be willing to have him in the top 17....

And I never said we "just" needed a hooker. Chillax. Although there is a dearth of good hookers in the game at the moment IMO so we might be waiting a while, it's certainly our biggest issue and has been since Peats left.

Blood Mahoney

Iv watched him play allot.
He is of similar mould to K. Pritchard
Reedy is small and i think will struggle defensively and will loose the wrestle.
Reed is a player who isnt structured and his service is not the greatest.
Reed is a very good player and quick who plays what;s in front of him but can be a little selfish.
But in all honesty i dont think his ready yet

Ok. Then I am left scratching head what the hell BA was thinking not adressing this area. Kaysa and King are injury prone and not up to it.

Grasping at straws if you think tyrone Roberts will help us.
We need a quality 2nd rower and a quality prop. Papali and Jnr will transform our pack.

I don't even think we desperately need a quality second rower. We've got a good back row, especially if T-Rex can find some consistency. Hooker should be number one priority IMO, and replacing Terepo/Matagi with an attacking prop.

Paulo returning would be very nice. But he'd have to drop about 10kg.

No one good was available for a decent price.

Peats wanted 600k plus, Rein wanted 3-400k. They were the best available (and I'd have honestly paid 600k for Peats given were we sit) but Rein is a plodder and not many sides splash 600k on a hooker.

Look at Canberra, they lost Hodgson and the only first grade level replacement available was Havili, who can't decide if he's a hooker or a lock or a back rower....

We need a hooker, but we don't need to just grab whatever rubbish is available.

No. Never best.Very good at one stage.
Always better guys. Never had the level Papali or Cordner or Frizell reached.
But Papalii and Frizell are such poor defenders they should be playing in the middle. You can plonk a damaging runner out wide but it doesn’t make him an edge forward. Otherwise Fifita and Paulo would be edge forwards.

At his best Ma’u was as good as a young Boyd Cordner. Obviously Cordner is now clearly the best. Tohu Harris probably matches him.
Never powerfull enough to bust the line like those guys. His best was almost breaking the line. A few good offloads etc.....
But he’s an edge player so it’s not all about power. His footwork was the best of all players at his position, his skill was good, and he was fast and certainly powerful enough. In 2015 he was clearly our best player. In 2016 he wasn’t far off it.
Id say now Manu is middle of pack 2nd rower. He may come good again as not that old but 2017 was average and this year declined more.
Yeah he is about average these days. But at his peak he was one of our primary attacking options. In 2014-15 he was our quickest play-the-ball. Having Jennings on his side in ‘16 allowed his playmaking ability to shine.

He is not half as good as either of our halves, thus he would not replace either. Our form on the whole is down, do you really think a poor mans Blake Green is the answer to that?

Personally I'd back Norman and Moses to get us out of it at half their best, over Roberts at his very best.

You're missing my point.
Im not a huge fan of Roberts im just suggesting our halves thus far this year have been shit.
We have no back up in Nsw cup who can fill avaoid or put pressure on our current halves who are under performing. Do you have any other suggestions then o wise one.?

I think you've missed mine, actually.

I said UNLESS HE IS HAPPY TO PLAY 90% OF HIS TIME AT WENTY, we do not need him. I don't disagree that we need a decent NSW Cup half. I do disagree that Roberts would be that half.

By all means if he's happy to play NSW Cup, we should sign him up. But his versatility means that he'd be a good solid top 17 player for four or five other clubs....why would he want to play for Wenty? Just as two obvious ones, he'd probably wear the 6 at Manly and the 9 at Canberra if he came out next week...

Not Farah, too divisive and honestly he's not much chop anymore. I don't rate Levi in attack, he's not an improvement on what we have.

I think Segeyaro is off contract, perhaps we could get him on board with the promise of a starting jersey? Young Josh Chudleigh has been cast off a bit by North QLD but he's talented, could be worth a punt mid season (and cheap).

We could go all out and offer Jake Granville big money, but I don't think he'd move. Maybe Api Koroisau?
