Agree that Bev is worth a wait n see.We wait Hindy until we have a decent powerful pack that can play well consistently. Then we can judge fleet footed, lightweight players like him more accurately. Judging him in a busted team like this doesn't do him or us any favours.
I suspect that in a team that goes forward and can dominate the ruck consistently he will be a star player. Dominating the ruck makes all the difference in our game. If we can't get to our feet faster then the opposition can it doesn't even matter who has more possession as much. That is why even in games where we had similar possession stats or better, we still lost.
It is all about the space that your players can provide for the playmakers and outside backs to do their magic. Without ruck dominance you have nothing. The defenses are just to good now a days and set very quickly and the players are very, very fit obviously. This is why unless we also address and acquire a great dummy half we will not be a genuine premiership threat.
Api is Kaysa minus his Kamikaze.BA certainly has made a meal of that part of the team. I know that Api from Manly was looking at extending his contract with them a few weeks ago, but if he hasn't put pen to paper yet, I would jump in at the 11th hour and try to make him an offer that he would find very hard to refuse.
If you are going to make too-good-to-refuse offers to hookers, then Api is not the guy. Might as well stick with Kaysa and Jedi the mad merkin out of him.
