Rumours and Stuff

Pity we can't put Kaysa's speed in King's body and he'd be a beauty.

Speed is not everything out of dummy half.
Its the perception and smarts. Sell and deception. How to loose the makers that can make them look faster. But definitely smarter.!
The best 2 are Cam Smith and Michael Ennis. Both who are slow.

As big as Parcell and bigger than Cook and 5 years younger than either.

As for this quote - Mahoney would be lucky to be 172cm at best.
Cook is 179cm
Parcell is 181cm
Schneider is 183cm

Size isnt everything.
But what im saying is, When Quoting something at least quote the truth.

People might say my figures above are incorrect regarding Mahoney. But iv seen him week in week out and iv compared him standing next to players like Dylan Brown who is 182cm and Mahoney comes up to his lips.
Remember Mahoney as a flock of hair on his head which stands an inch high. Maybe making him look taller than he really is.

Anyways Mahoney is a talented footy player with good service, Kicking game and his strength is his running game.
But as someone mentioned previously his main obstacle will be his size.
But it wont be from a lack of trying

You merkins are just circle jerking together. The difference with these players is that they showed great potential and many moments in games that Pritchard has rarely shown. In Api's case from a very early age and that is why I wanted him here from the age of around 18. But the ultimate reason that I don't rate Pritchard is his injury status. And if you couldn't see the talent in Cook even when at the Dogs, then maybe you should just watch and and not talk. Tongue in cheek fellas.

Now listen/read carefully. Any player that weighs what he does and throws himself at the pigs the way that he does, no matter how good he is, will ultimately never make it long term in the NRL.

Peats was another example of someone that threw himself kamikaze style at the defense and now look at him. Broken and his abilities largely diminished. The previous player that we had who had a similar attitude to tackling was PJ Marsh and look what ultimately happened to him. The first rule in the NRL is long term self preservation or you won't be in the NRL to long.

Not to hard a rule to understand for most, except for some of you idiots.

As for buying these guys now, I think that it is to late, because everyone NOW sees the value in them so their price would be probably more then they are worth. The time was 2-5 years ago.

So now lets see what BA can come up with. Will he be able to pick the next best 9 in the lower grade to poach? Oh even if he is already contracted to a club, many times that is irrelevant, if we value him more and offer to fast track him into the NRL and the appropriate salary.

As for my choice? I wouldn't know. I don't watch the lower grades anymore. But whoever it is, he better be able to consistently deliver crisp passes in front of the player, tackle without being a kamikaze and pick the right moments to run.

Come on Ram, you only rate Cook now as you watched him the last 2 years!!

Did you actually follow him in his late teens ? Early 20's? the dogs were his 4th club (steelers, panthers, dragons / cutters). He also played a lot of fullback.

His profile on the parramatta eels site, lists him as 180cm.

We talking about the Peats & Marsh that both played Origin?

The Ram was the midwife who delivered him and knew there and then of Cook's greatness

Don't let anyone tell you that you're not a quality human, Ram.

Yes you said in 2013 that we should sign Api - I will grant you that.

So what if we did ? He has been foundering around in seasons 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 started to hit his straps end 2017 and is playing good footy in 2018.

So I'm guessing that you would have wanted Ricky to sign him in 2013 on a 7 year contract because you knew he'd eventually come good ?

I can guarantee he is not even close to 180cm tall. Schneider is 182- and Dylan Brown is 181cm and Mahoney isnt close to either of them.

Here is a picture of steve Dressler and Mahoney.. Dressler is 184cm tall look at Mahoney campared.

In the bottom picture Mahoney is standing next to Dylan Brown. Mahoney is standing up right while Brown is crouched over.

To be fair in 2013/14 he was stuck behind Luke and he did play a great game in the 2014 GF when he got a chance. He never seemed to hit his stride at Penrith but has been outstanding for the Eagles since 2016. But Ricky signed Peats which wasn't a bad signing either, just a shame how it went down and we had to lose him.

So did Tom Humble. It means almost nothing. We need an established, quality hooker, IMO.
Humble was only ever solid and two small for the NRL, Parcell had a stellar season up their and was signed by Manly And has since done well for Leeds

I didn't say I rated him in his teens. That was Api. I rated Cook when I saw him play for the Dogs.
