And as the rules state, development squad can be from 3-6 players so there is no requirement to promote someone. If there was someone worth having in the development squad this year, surely they would have taken one of the 2 remaining vacancies.

The thing is, you can't take away those things.
Radradra. He was our best attacking weapon and along with Brown our best player overall. You don't think that if we didn't have him our game plan would've be totally different which would lead to a completely different and unknown outcome? And any team would have trouble if you took their best attacking threat away.

Lucky Draw. No one was saying that when we were 2 from 6 early last year.

Close wins. We earnt those by being a tough footy team who fought all the way until the end

I almost can agree Hindy. I think we need a quality number 9. One that can pass off the ground quick, crisp and in front of the intended receiver nearly 100% of the time. One that feigns to go one way but then goes the other and can sell it with speed. And who can also know when to run and get behind the defensive line or can bring the forwards on at speed. Everything that he does around that play the ball should be at speed and with almost 100% accuracy. Finally he should be able to tackle without the fear of hospitalisation in nearly every attempt.

At the moment our dummy half passing is atrocious. How many times do we see the ball go slightly, just slightly, but that is all it takes, behind or above the intended receiver? Or the pass is to slow or lobbed in a rainbow fashion. That is all it takes to ruin a play and nullify our playmakers attacking options. We're talking inches and milliseconds. That is all it takes. Also our dummy halves aren't in control of the game the way a good dummy half dictates, especially to the forwards and demands them to come onto the ball at the advantage line, again with the ball in front of them.

If we can sort that out I think we are in with a damn good chance.
