Hayne at 500k to play a position he has had very limitied experience at and at his age was not exactly cheap.

Coaches don't make mistakes mate. And if they did how would you f**king know? Pou will explain....
Well you just explained it. ‘Mistakes’ is the kind of language used by idiots discussing things in hindsight. The fact is coaches don’t make decisions in hindsight, they make them in real time and they deal with risk.

The only mistake could be not understanding the risk and I’d suggest they are all well aware of the risks underlying every decision. They would all have different appetites for risk, and some would be forced to take bigger risks just by circumstance.

Playing it safe only suits the favourites (clubs spending the most on players). Weaker clubs need to chase advantage through increased randomness. I’ve told you idiots all this before.

Arthur seems risk averse by nature but he definitely takes risks in his recruiting. Look at Hayne and Williams this year. Moses last year was also a risk, as was re-signing Norman after his massive f**k up in 2016.

I reckon some of those recruitment risks were borne out of necessity, rather than choice.

Addendum...I wonder if I could actually write an essay in the bathtub. It'd be a lot more relaxing than my desk
