I think it means if they’re Queenslanders then they only play well for
We've gone through this before. Anyway, origin is dumb, they should get rid of it.

I completely agree with you about origin. It's an over-hyped money maker for the NRL. It's a meaningless series of exhibition matches plonked right in the middle of the proper season, and it impacts the real competition far too much.I always end up watching the f**king thing even though each year I swear I'm not going to bother. The whole thing is so contrived it's it's f*cken embarrassing.
Nevertheless, it's generally a very high standard of footy that's on display; and the players who are spoken of as 'origin contenders' are generally the best of the best. (Not always, I grant you, but mostly.)

I think they are panicking and not following the gameplan, there was plenty of times last year whenwe didn’t make many metres coming out of our own end but Moses and Norman still got good kicks away. Why do you think they could do it last year off the back of a poor set metre wise but not this year? Why could they do it when Semi wasn’t even involved in the set, why do you ask questions like a smart ass rather then say my opinion is this you pretentious prick? Trying to take the place of Chipmunk?

I've already given my opinion (probably too many times, don't you think?) I was just asking your opinion because the 'realists' on here (of which I assume you are one) don't usually offer much in the way of opinion. They generally say vague things, like: 'I'm sure the coach has thought of that' or 'it's more complicated than that, you deathrider' or 'you don't know what goes on behind the scenes' or 'well, it worked last year'. Or they use very vague terms like: 'it must be the players' attitudes'. And then anyone who has an opinion other than the politically correct one is labelled a whinger (or a pretentious prick) and poked fun at - as if that somehow puts everything in its correct and proper perspective. That's why I asked your opinion; because I'm not sure that I had heard it. I have now, though. I guess now it's up to the coach to get the players to stop panicking and start following the game plan. Not an easy task, I guess, but he gets paid enough, so he might as well give it a go.

Additionally I have a theory BA is looking to do a Smith in a year or 2 (see 2000 and 01) and bring in a bunch of juniors once they are ready sometime in the next 2 or so years.

We have a bunch of players off contract around 2019/20 which is around the time our current development players and potentially some other 20’s players may be ready for NRL action.

Which I reckon was BA’s plan when he took over the eels - build a decent squad then start promoting juniors. He does take interest in the juniors more then previous coaches.

I think next year could be the year we begin to see that. We could pad out spots 25-30 very easily with young players, but we would have to make sure that 1-20 is strong so if we call one of them up they're playing in a strong team. We could potentially put more in I reckon.

After we had lost about 4 in a row the forum expert also claimed losing our first 4 games isn't that big of an issue and that we will still make the 8 because of the strength of our squad.
Brad Arthur has since said it too. He might be a shit coach but he still knows more than you idiots.

That is not what happens at all. You have lost all perspective.

People who constantly whinge get called whingers. People who offer their opinions don’t.

I don’t understand why you are struggling to differentiate between whinging and opinion when almost everyone else doesn’t have the same problem.

You aren’t even one of the whingers either so I don’t get why you feel the need to defend the indefensible...
