Parramatta Eels to investigate incident, with Kenny Edwards set to front court
DETAILS have emerged of Kenny Edwards’ serious traffic offence which could threaten his NRL career.
Edwards is due to front court on Tuesday regarding a traffic incident which occurred earlier this month.
The Eels claim they were only made aware of the incident on Friday and have alerted the NRL’s integrity unit.
The club have begun an internal investigation into the matter.
Now Fairfax Media has revealed exactly what the firebrand forward is alleged to have done.
A police statement claims Edwards was pulled over by police, then fled the scene, and it was later discovered he was driving on a suspended licence.
“About 7.45am on Thursday 19 April 2018, police observed a Holden Cruze on Sherwood Road at Merrylands West, and conducted a u-turn to speak with the driver,” the police statement read.
“Officers approached the vehicle on Todd Street and observed it was unattended. Witnesses told police a man was seen running from the vehicle.
“Officers spoke to a 28-year-old man nearby and police checks revealed the man’s licence was suspended.”

Pretty confident adding 2 more charges to his Eels rap sheet will result in Kenny getting the punt, and rightly so.
