I reckon it will depend on how much we are paying him and if BA is keen to keep him as a player disregarding his associated issues.
If BA is happy to lose him from his roster then Kenny will be shown the door. It generally comes down to how good a player he is.

And, really, he's not a very good player.

If it’s true he didn’t tell the club then it’s time to go KE.
As much as I love what he brings on the field with his aggression etc. That kind of attitude is why we are where we are.
Don’t talk about not wanting to let BA down etc when you can’t even be upfront with him or the club about off field issues, doesn’t show the respect you say you have for him.

@Gronk No I'm pretty sure he was found guilty on the intimidation charge. And I'd say his indiscretions added up are pretty comparable to Todd Carney's.

Taking a drug test for someone
Assault (on the gold coast i think?)
Intimidation related to domestic violence
Loss of license
Driving without a license
Evading police

If it were up to cocksnot Gronk then Ivan Milat would get second, third and fourth chances.

Parramatta Eels to investigate incident, with Kenny Edwards set to front court

DETAILS have emerged of Kenny Edwards’ serious traffic offence which could threaten his NRL career.

Edwards is due to front court on Tuesday regarding a traffic incident which occurred earlier this month.

The Eels claim they were only made aware of the incident on Friday and have alerted the NRL’s integrity unit.

The club have begun an internal investigation into the matter.

Now Fairfax Media has revealed exactly what the firebrand forward is alleged to have done.

A police statement claims Edwards was pulled over by police, then fled the scene, and it was later discovered he was driving on a suspended licence.

“About 7.45am on Thursday 19 April 2018, police observed a Holden Cruze on Sherwood Road at Merrylands West, and conducted a u-turn to speak with the driver,” the police statement read.

“Officers approached the vehicle on Todd Street and observed it was unattended. Witnesses told police a man was seen running from the vehicle.

“Officers spoke to a 28-year-old man nearby and police checks revealed the man’s licence was suspended.”

Pretty confident adding 2 more charges to his Eels rap sheet will result in Kenny getting the punt, and rightly so.

Makes naming 21 on Tuesday difficult as it Leaves us with only 20 to choose...

I still reckon that unless the NRL want him out, then clubs don’t lose players in this situation unless tgey want to.

If the club see this as an opportunity to free up cash then they will, provided that they have a rock solid legal position to do so. The last thing you want it to punt him but find that you have a court case.

Kenny wont survive this, there's absolutely zero chance.
He'll received a minimum 2 year nrl ban.

England will be his only bet

Sorry that I take a measured view and don’t go off eary like a teenager in a knock shop.

Allegedly running from the cops after being pulled over is a fair bit more serious than arranging to have yourself photographed appearing to drink your own widdle. Should the charges hold up, the fact that Kenny has diversified his range of previous offences is not a convincing mitigating factor in terms of the NRL's / Eels response.

IIRC Terepo did this in the off season. Not precisely the same crime, but drunk, accident, left scene, evaded police.

Terepo hadn’t been sacked at two other clubs and on his about his 4th incident at this club. He was a clean skin.

I am not denying his rap sheet, but facts are that clubs dont lose players they want to keep.

They will stand him down Indefinitely if they want him for 2019. Send him off to Mitchell Pearce’s Thai rehab shop.

If the club does that they are as weak as piss, no wonder player discipline is atrocious on and off the field.

Time for the club to stand for something.

Any decent lawyer will get him off the evade police and rightly so. They observed a Holden Cruze (lol) and did a uturn only to find the vehicle unattended. To me this suggests that they were a fair way away if they didn't see him leave the vehicle and run. IF if he did this before they lit him up, that is not a crime. It's not a good look but not a crime.
Will driving on a suspended license be enough to get punted? We'll find out this week.
