I heard a rumour that because Shark Park is so close to the Airport Semi will be flying in on Saturday and going straight to the game.

Of course his dad can't come to the game or else the taxi and ticket would need to be included in the cap.

It's like Hayne is 32 and washed up and everyone is complaining that we might sign him.
Like he is what 27 or 28, in his prime, fit and the best athletic ability of anyone i have ever seen play Rugby League, he's a parra junior and loves the club.
Why wouldn't you move a few plodders around to sign him?

And he's only played 160-odd NRL games. Plenty of footy left in Hayne.

But truth be told, I'm no longer as passionate as I once was - I'm sick of seeing Eels that I love watching play leave the club: Hayne, Pauli, Paulo, Radradra and now Ma'u...all done of my favourite players, and all gone.

I'm sick of this tbh.

And that's mostly due to the Salary cap. It's turned the NRL into a game of musical chairs. I mean, how can you get excited about 'Parramatta players' when they might be 'Cronulla players' next year and 'Souths players' two years after that? What does a 'club' even mean anymore?

And if the concept of the club you follow doesn't really mean anything anymore, does that mean that every game in the NRL season is just a fairly meaningless exhibition game? It's getting like that. Maybe we should just follow players as they go from club to club, rather than following the club itself.

But that's just the point. We have to offer more under the cap to get him. It's f**ked. We're better of chasing mid range talent $300k-$500k each and keeping our defensive line strong.
