I have heard that DA was very confident of getting Maloney but BA put his foot down and insisted on Foran.

Who knows it could be all BS and no one knew what would happen to Foran.

Moses is already a better defender then Maloney.

But I see your point, however in 2015 we weren’t the greatest defensive team, so adding another poor defensive half wasn’t really the best option as opposed to 2017 where our defence had improved and could “carry” Moses.

Anyhow who knows why we didn’t sign Maloney.

Yeah hindsight is always 20-20. Foran was exactly what we needed, tough, good leader, good defender, nice straight attacking game, excellent kicking game....it's just that he turned out to be exactly what we didn't need.

I reckon we'd have had to pay Maloney about what we paid Foran too, he's not shy when it comes to pricing himself...the bloke left the Sharks cos he thought 700k or whatever wasn't enough at a successful club, what would he want at a shit one??

I know why we didn't sign Maloney.
It was because we were going to sign Kieran Foran, who was a better half than Maloney at the time.

Anyone who shits on the Foran signing has rocks in their head. It's only hindsight which makes it look bad. Anyone here want to put their hand up and say that they hated the signing of Foran when it was announced? Quote your comment from that time here if there is.

BA wanted Foran which was fair enough. Just a shame how it turned out, a shame how it always turns out for us.

I reckon underated. This year he is the beat half in the game. Most of his career he was under valued. At 800k I reckon he is good value.

Take out Aitken,Mcinnes,Dufty,Graheme and say Sims. How would they go against us at full strength.

I know we need more but I dont feel like we need a 3 yr rebuild. We will be competetive next season.

He signed a 4 year deal. Played 2016, 17 & 18. So I think you’re right.
