113kg, 197cm listed as a second rower.
Played 39 games for 9 tries and 15/15 in 2018 so not sure he has turned into a reserve grader.
In 2018 he has:
- averaged 45 mins per game
- averaged 85 metres per game
- averaged 32 post contact metres per game
- averaged 22 tackles per game at 89% efficiency
- made 22 tackle breaks

What is it you are actually looking for exactly?
Hey @Glenneel i understand you arent happy with many or even any of our signings but you never did answer my question.

Matagi / vave / Gower / peni are all off contract (I haven’t included Marata as I reckon he is definitely staying) and they are our back ups this year ( yes they are playing in front of Evans but he is on contract and wasn’t signed as a back up).

Gower is playing good but will be fairly old and could decline substantially during an off-season. Peni I wouId keep but he could leave.

If Musgrove/Lane are definitely coming and replacing Gowers/vave/Matagi as our back ups (but still likely to play a fair few games), that is a plenty bloody good swap for our back up players.

Musgrove / Lane are both young with potential. That’s already an improvement in our squad (better back ups) and we haven’t even finished with our signings.

BTW - not saying they will win us the comp but do strengthen our squad!!

Of course not.

But then, he doesn't even appear to be in the same ballpark as disheveled, either.

Replacing back up players with younger ones is a step in the right direction but we are coming last. Our top 17 needs a big upgrade. Paulo is an upgrade in the middle. Austin a downgrade in the halves (compared to Norman). It doesn't move the needle much at all.

We need upgrades at 9, wing, fullback (French isn't good enough and Gutho's best position is centre IMO) and we need another attacking edge forward to have a decent shot next year.

Re-signing Hayne solves either the fullback/wing issue.

I trust we are looking to address our issues.

I don't know about you, but Mahoney impressed me with his limited game time. He's young, and will improve.

Kaysa, too, is young, and was in great form before the injury.

They are each better players at 9 than King or Smith, imo.

I am concerned about potentially losing Norman and replacing him with Austin - I like Austin, but Norman is class (even if his form dips from time to time).

But the recruiting is far from over.

Hayne isn't fast enough to play fullback in the current game... and for that matter neither is Gutho. Both late Dragons tries on Thursday night were from kicks, with our fullback nowhere near either one.

Gutho is fine at fullback, yeah no superstar but does the job and even better if he finds his 2017 form.

I agree purely on ability Norman is better then Austin but if BA is trying to more him on, surely it indicates there are behind the scene issues with his attitude or something and they think they are better without him.

Maybe, but he offers a bit of play making that Gutho doesn’t. I also said Hayne can solve an issue on the wing. But it’s pretty obvious we need a better fullback than what we currently have.

Also he might have had a good game this week but he's been underperforming for at least a year. Which is probably why no one seems to want him.

Gutho is too slow and offers no playmaking for a fullback.

Austin would be in the bottom 5 or 6 halves in the NRL. If we are going to replace Norman then at least get someone who is halfway decent

Austin in the centers??? Has he ever played there before? That’s the hardest position on the field to defend in.

Lane in the top 17?

I reckon there'll be another top 17 forward signing, no info just a hunch. I'd have Takairangi in front of Lane. Just tell him not to play like he's in the halves, he's been troubling halves when he's been running hard.

Bit hard to blame Guth on both, he was defending in the line on a 3rd tackle kick on the first one and the other was after he produced a try saving tackle on Sims. Sure he isn't the quickest fullback but he is coming back from a knee reco.

Good player if true but not the quality we should be buying tho. Looks like we're going thru the bargain basement bin again looking for players. There's always this bald dishevelled bloke looking in it every day according to my sources.

Seriously, the bloke and a couple of others have deadset said that our off contract fringe players shouldn't be replaced with other fringe players. They've got no f**ken idea
