Lane is done but not officially confirmed.

we can easily fit both Hayne and Mennings in the squad with Ferguson if we have to.

Hayne played 7 games. 2 injured so 5 full games. The 50-0 thrashing had no ball.
That leaves 4 games. In those 4 games he has had 19 tackle breaks, 4 tries, 3 line breaks and averaged 125mtrs. Break it down and he been good when fit. I always said he need 10 full games at centre. So far he has had 4.
Id lean on signing back up after looking at stats.

I dont think cooked. He has 40 tackle breaks. More then lnglis and gagai.
His issue has been same all career. When teams going well jennings fires. When in trenches he doesnt fight. Was same when panthers struggling.
If we become a force again Jennings will fire up again I gaurantee. At 31 he wont be cooked. Just having a shit year and has a lazy attitude

Great signing.

Seems to finally have his off field issues sorted and it is showing on the field.

Is the top performer in the NRL in the key areas we have lacked since losing Semi.

The negative ruckus this is causing just further emphasises how negative and whining our fans are in general. Would still complain if we won 3 straight premierships but the hot chips were cold at the kiosk..

Or the old adage, once bitten twice shy, comes to mind.

Just on Lane have we signed him? Zero Tackle don't have him on our additions list but do have Ferguson.

The Ferguson signing I'm undecided about. Is very much a rocks and diamond player. Three clubs wanted him and we offered the most, whatever that is but $500k or more, and want to play him as a centre. So who is going, Mennings or JH? If Mennings we'll have to pay some of the freight but even that might be preferable. However if Ferguson is played as a winger there are better options around. There is a young winger in Maumalo with Warriors that we could get for less than half the price who'll do just as good a job and is more diamonds than rocks.

Averaged over 100mtrs every year played nrl.

125, 145 and 198 the last 3 yrs.

Rooster lets Fergo go cause salary cap. Sure they have tpas but its not endless.
They have Crighton coming in, cordner been upgraded recently and teddy plus cronk.
Latrell value will be 1 mill when hits market and i dsre say since made origin will have upgrade in contract.
Not to mention a heap of young juniors coming through they do not want to lose. I am sure they can streth things a little but they cant completely take the piss. I reckon if signed Ferguson people would ask questions .

As it stands we need to now focus on who partners Moses, Hooker and one more prop.

1 game put of like 60 plus. Has potential to be but Im yet to be convinced.
If anything Niakuore looks far more damaging

Not bad but I just don’t like the look of the side with French at the back. I’d rather Hayne (or Gutho) at the back. Gennings is a better winger than French so he’s a backup for mine or looks for an opportunity elsewhere. I agree we need at least one more power forward in place of Lane.

Agreed, I think Gutho has to be at back, not French, his had ample opportunity there and for me Gutho offers loads more, it's been a tough year but last year Gutho was brilliant at the back.

I would have the backline something like this.

For me we have to keep Norman over Austin any day of the week, as much as I love Norman and he has frustrated me this year all we ask is for him to produce like he did last week, he and Moses can still offer us a lot, and a lot more then what Austin can.

Pardon my ignorance, I have seen Lane, Musgrove and Segayaro's names been thrown around like they are all done deals? What is the go? Is that the talk around town?

And to add to whoever mentioned we need one more hard running back rower, I totally agree on top of all the names above aswell as Paulo and Ferguson, it is definitely an improvement.
