I reckon we are close to having this squad, but still think there are 2 forwards to come who will force their way into the top 17 (at the expense of Lane and probably Ma'u).

Genuine question...what are Seggy’s stats? The Sharks’ 2017 player review indicates he averaged 21.2 tackles per game, whilst Brailey averaged 36.5 tackles per game. 57 tackles (ish) from your hooker rotation seems decent to me but I haven’t seen his missed tackles or tackle efficiency.

Look at Segeyaro’s tackles per minute. Pretty alarming.

The Segeyaro signing though is crucial in that hypothetical. If that doesn’t happen then we are still a long way off...even with the signings off Paulo, Lane and Musgrave. It would take a Taupau like signing to offset not signing a hooker such as Seggy for mine.

Is segy that much better then a fit Kaysa? Im unsure.
With Mahoney coming through I feel better about hooker position then this year

I suspect Freddy is one of those leaders who provides the most value in the short term. And yes I'm aware Arthur may be the same type.

I reckon heaps of coaches like mgregor or green or griffin or BA are same as day on. Difference is luck with players form and injuries. Nine are better coaches pr worse in any years. Its all timing. And the way the public portray ypu un their imagintaion based on facts from media thats likely false.
Is Green and BA that much worse or Mgregror that much better the last season?I f**king doubt it.
