Yeah we signed his older brother Warner. Wasn't here long.

His biggest regret would have been Foran. I don't think he would have too many regrets about Matterson because Matterson is no better than Robson so it is like for like. In fact Robson only coming for a few months means we probably got him cheaper than Matterson

Without doubt Foran would be the bigger regret.
One upside of Matterson over Robson is about 10 years younger.

One upside of Matterson over Robson is about 10 years younger.

I can't stand Robson but even his limited skill set is more suited to the halves than Mattersons.

It's just a matter of having to sign the players you can afford. If you have to pay overs for fringe first graders how much extra would you have to pay for genuine NRL players? At least we got lucky with a couple of blokes we took a punt on - Edwards (signed under Stuart) and Ma'u (signed while Kearney was coach) have turned into genuine first graders. And of course Semi Radradra was signed from Fiji's 7s team in 2011. You could hardly say Nolan wasn't good at his job.
