I thought so too, but that would place him higher in the squad. At $350k he would be in the top 17 regardless of form. What do you call not much?
Hed be on around 350k
Well usually I complement them, often with baked spuds and salad.Either way, it is an udder disgrace what you are saying about them and their calves.
I have no beef with any of you but can we steer this convo back on topic??Either way, it is an udder disgrace what you are saying about them and their calves.
I reckon people over over complicating the game.
Quick play balls
Big powerfull athletic bodies
Smart kicking game
Minimal penalties and errors
We arent scoring tries cause our playmakers are shit. It is cause we arent tiring the defense enough to get quick play balls and have them going backwards. That is when gaps open. If the defense is set it takes a magic offload to break it or some kind of luck. But that is forcing a risk or turning ball over.
Lot of penalties we have given away have been when had a team backed up. When a teams inside there own 15mtrs and your defending your kind of attacking. We give dumb penalties that lets them off the hook and opens up the field.
Keeping a team inside that range limits the field to the middle. Your defense can then move tighter rather then spread, meaning less gaps and harder for them to get yards. If can start most defensive sets inside a teams 15mtrs chances are they wont score. Your defense has also had an easy set as ran less meters retreating and your strike players havent had to make tackles. Just the pigs upfront.
Then you get the ball un a good position. Two backs who are fresh can take strong carries. 2 halves who also fresh can make smarter plays as not fatigued and have more time to think. Your forwards can take a run on 3rd or 4th if need be. If there defense is retreating there will be gaps and can have a shot outwide.
Too many times we seem to go wide just for sake of it. Unless the defense is rereating its f**king pointless. Only a mircale play will result in a possitive. Better to play feild possesion.
Sorry mate, I had misteakenly herd it was ok to talk about it in this thread although it could be rare that we go off topic... and well done on your retort.I have no beef with any of you but can we steer this convo back on topic??

You've not only posted an opinion that makes so much sense, you've also written it in a format that all BA has to do is copy and paste it to each player's instagram account and they will understand it completely. You're smarter than I gave you credit for.
This is a load of bullLike it! Vealy Vealy like it.....
That’s a ridiculous statement. You don’t play someone in 1st grade if there are better options, simply because they are paid more. There are plenty of examples that refute your claim...Sandow, Kenny Edwards, Hoffman, Beau Scott and now possibly Jennings all say hi.I thought so too, but that would place him higher in the squad. No but the guaranteed top 17 players are understood to play first grade even when their form is down. This is why Mennings gets 'dropped' during a bye week, not when he's needed in first grade. Even out of form he is needed in the NRL team. For a team like us with so much forward depth and so few top 17 certainties only Brown, Mannah and maybe Alvaro would be exempt from spending time in Wenty. And possibly not even Mannah. Even Beau Scott made an appearance in the ISP this year. Why? Once your top 30 is set it doesn't matter who plays in 1st grade.

You're putting the cart before the horse here. The point is that they are guaranteed top 17 players because there are no better options. That’s a ridiculous statement. You don’t play someone in 1st grade if there are better options, simply because they are paid more.
With the exception of Hoffman, who appears to have been signed for depth, all played far more first grade than reserve grade. In fact their reserve grade appearances would have been to improve their usefulness in first grade, whether due to fitness or attitude. Hoffman is in reserve grade because there are better options, meaning Arthur never rated him that highly to start with. Therefore wouldn't have paid too much. There are plenty of examples that refute your claim...Sandow, Kenny Edwards, Hoffman, Beau Scott and now possibly Jennings all say hi.
