The Lambshank!! Can't believe this has not been brought up yet!!
This one was also late game to level scores, although not season ending, was very disheartening going into the final 2 regular season games, and by a far more experienced kicker and not from the sideline.

We are last and you are talking about good management??? Seriously???

So our cap management hasn’t been good?

If it has been shit, why do we have 10 or spots available and money to spend?

f**k imagine if we were the dogs and had to release 4 players over the last 2 years (and pay some of their contract) and not re-sign some others and still struggle to sign any quality as you can’t afford too. While you have a seriously out form half on $1 million or so. And they are only 2 points in front of us!!

Yes, I remember that kick from Burt. He never forgave himself IIRC. I didn't post that one of the lambshank because I think it is a reflection of him as a player, I just remember watching it live and sort of thinking that it was hilarious and sad at the same time. I reckon Hodkinson should have taken it.

We are f**king last, who cares how many spots there are to fill if we can't recruit quality where we need it.

You honestly just think we need a few more signings and everything will be tickety boo for next year???

Difference is Munster wouldn’t be seen as a “leader” in the club with older more experienced players like Smith, Slater and Chambers and 1 or 2 of their forwards.

While Norman should be and is probably expected to be one of leaders at the eels.

When Smith/Slater/Chambers retire, if the stories about Munster continued, I reckon there is a fair chance Bellamy wouId let him go.
Whilst I think that’s rubbish as he is an origin half, we can also remove any leadership role Norman has in the team.

Mitchell Pearce and Blake Ferguson are other examples refuting Pou’s flakey assertion.

But you do??? When have you ever been right about anything???
A better question is when have I ever been wrong about anything. The only time was with Sandow, and I learnt a lot about the game from watching his rise and demise. Since then I've been right about everything.
And where did I say he has lost his ability and on the decline???? I just don't think he is capable of being the dominant half. Last year it was shared between him and Norman and it seemed to work well. Now BA seems to think Moses is the number one seed and capable of being the leading half. Our attack has looked it's worse all year when Moses was handed the keys to the team.
Except Moses hasn't been handed the keys. Norman is our primary playmaker this year and the proof is our position on the ladder. He needs to go.

Except Lamb has proven he can already cope with the defensive load in first grade. Alongside Moses he only needs to kick, tackle and control his side of the field. He doesn't need to be the go-to guy after a quick play-the-ball.
However then we have the same problem we had when Robbo was our half. Sides stack the defensive line wherever Norman is because he’s going to get the ball in attacking situations. You need more than 1 point of attack, expecially with our 9 and 1 options.

But that’s the problem, the only way to do that is to get him to leave. It’s that players look up to him no matter what his official role is as he is a senior player playing in the most important role in the game. Players wouId just naturally look to him.

If you were at the storm who wouId you look up too? Smith? Slater? Or Munster?

Also - I have no idea if Norman is a bad influence or not.

Well we lost one player from last year and turned to shit. Why wouldn't a couple of players improve us?

You can remove any official role but you can't take away their influence on other players. These are human beings.

LOL did you watch the Broncos game?? BA said in the press earlier in the week it was Moses's team and he was the main playmaker that night. That night while at the game was one of the worst exhibitions of attacking football I have ever seen. our shapes in attack were putrid.

And lol @ the right about everything call.

And both will probably have zero NRL experience to start the year. Lamb has 30+ experience, plus three full off seasons under his belt. He is far superior to either Salmon or Brown, even if he has less potential than either of them.

Doesn't mean we should be signing him or he'd be a valuable signing for us. I don't see the point in signing Lamb, decent player but he'd want a long-term deal and a sizeable salary, not worth it.

imo

Because we are stone motherless last?? A long way off the top sides, and we are looking to offload arguably our best attacking player and replace him with Plod. But yeah a couple of signings and it will be very exciting.

.
Hmm
We might not win more non-finals matches next year (because 16 is a lot) but I'd say we'll be a better team, with better for and against. We will also probably win more finals matches too. We'll be fine without Semi Radradra.
Our recruitment was fine. Our only loss was Radradra and we replaced him with a two time Dally M winner. Plus we added a big fast forward to the pack.
But now apparently losing Semi is a big problem:
Well we lost one player from last year and turned to shit.

Yes I do!! If we were getting flogged each week obviously no, but considering how poor we have been at times, we have actually lost 10 games by 10 or less points which is bugger all!! Very fixable!!

Anyhow if we are still shit next year we can look forward to a new coach in 2020!!

Because Robson was no threat to run. Whomever we partner with Moses we know he will have a running game.

So you expect us to have a blinder in our first game in a new shape in penalty Broncos land? While missing Hayne, Williams, Edwards, Brown and Mannah?
And lol @ the right about everything call.
You're the merkin who thinks one game proves anything. We had our biggest win this year with Hayne playing ten minutes on the wing. By your logic we should do that every f**king week you nitwit merkin.
