And Marshall is a lot better player then Taylor was...,
Is he??? He's been dreadful this year from the games I have seen. Taylor was still capable of leading the team around the park and had a strong kicking game. I wouldn't touch Bunji with a 40 foot pole, he was never a great game manager it was his brilliant running and passing game that made him what he was. Now he's slow as shit and barely runs.

Taylor was in reserve grade when we signed him. His career was dead.

I agree he isn't playing the best, but who is in the dragons!

What I like about Hasting versus the 30 year olds is that he is young and can be molded into the player BA wants him to be. He'd be a player for the future and currently already better than Robbo

Agreed. For mine I can't see why we wouldn't be interested in him, when everything is weighed up. Price alone he would be way ahead of all the others, and as for his ability, he has it over all of them already too. Attitude is his one downfall, but he has hardly done anything that is criminal like some others.

We just need to pull his head in...which is what many 20 year olds need as we can all attest to I'm sure.

But can he be molded into the man BA wants him to be? We keep hearing about how tight the playing group is, and how much of a dick Hastings is.

Maybe there are just to many show ponies at the Roosters and they just didn't like a young upstart giving it to them. Who knows? But a change of clubs and one that has the right playing group culture maybe what he needs. If he is the only tosser making a gig of himself, then he will stand out. Would he want that for himself, especially if it is a repeat of where he just came from?

I think the odds are he would fall into line under Arthur's guidance.

That Eels side had strike all over the park, we only needed someone to lead the side around the park and could kick. This side needs more then that, Bunji is old news and not what we need. Would much rather us spend the cash on someone like Hastings than a washed up old hack who is still trying to play the way they did a decade ago.

Bunji was and is a touch footy player. Was quick across the park and had f**k all else.

J Taylor was a genuine half they could steer his cattle around. Could kick, pass and kick goals. Better defender too. JT by the length of the straight is you are talking overall careers.

You could be right.

Is that a role Marshall will stick to though? I just think his instincts to try and be the go to guy and make the big play when it's not on will kick in. I thnk it's something he has been guilty of since he returned to the NRL with Saints.
Last year when they made the finals he was top three in the NRL for TAs and LBAs.

You could be right, but I would be surprised if an Under 20's half with no NRL experience was signed for 400K+.by the Roosters regardless of how much he might have been carving up in that under 20's comp. If anything an incentive based contract with bonuses for playing 1st grade might have bumped up his earnings but over 400K? I can't see the Roosters paying that in 2014 for the kid
He re-signed at the start of this year.
