True, but he is playing for the dragons. Got to remember he would be playing in a much better drilled side, additionally his halves partner would be Norman one of the form halves in the comp before his suspension not another out of form player in Widdop.

I don't think anyone is saying Benji is the best option or the preferred option, but we may be limited in our options.

Benji for one year is an ok option to give us some time to look at other options for 2018 if we don't get our preferred half ( Reynolds ??).

I know a few are saying lets go with rookie, but really what rookies are there ? For all we know they may be looking at Dargan for 2018 and are looking for a gap year player.

I am sure BA is looking at all the available options, and will once again show why he really is a great coach !!

Considering he spent most of the first year in the NYC I'd say he was on less than $200k

I'm just realistic mate. I'd prefer Hastings but there would be a lot more demand for him as a long term signing, and if we re-sign Norman the Dragons should have more to spend.

There would have been big demand for him at the start of this year. He wouldn't have agreed to an extension without taking that into account.

What I like about Hasting versus the 30 year olds is that he is young and can be molded into the player BA wants him to be. He'd be a player for the future and currently already better than Robbo

More fool him then, BA could do for him what he did for Norman. And his contract could earn him elite halves money instead of plodding around for a club like St George.
