I have to correct you there dear Gary, but of course you wouldn't know just yet, since you are still a virgy, but we arrive naked and therefore are ALWAYS naked. That is part of the thrill of being in the CLUB.

By the way, Hindy and I have Christened our club and named it Bones and Bones in a special ceremony we laid on that first and fateful day our club came into existence and I'm sure you'll be stirred and excited when you see our secret emblem, it is beyond delightful. I think you'll agree though, it all sound delicious.

Way I see it is we need about 8 more points a game. With Jnr and Fergo plus everyone fit and some jnrs coming through we can then win 50% of ones lost.Maybe 60%
And those few narrow wins will then become 10-14 point wins which look convincing.

We have not once had our strongest 17. Actually have we ever had 15 of our best? I'd say the team against Souths was closest to best.
I reckon Manu,Trex,Edwards,Yung Jennings play however over
Bevan,Gower,Vave and lets use Kaysa who played 4 mins.
We need to conceed 10 fewer points per game as well. Defence is a massive issue and has been for ages.

We need to learn how to attack inside the opposition 20. We have had enough ball in most games. But have NFI how to attack inside the 20. Too structured and too busy setting up for the next play which is generally one of those boring block plays is way too easy to defend

I heard someone say the other night Corey norman is leading the forced drop outs. Counted for absolutely nothing this year

Still doesn't correlate to onfield performance. From what I understand the Sharks spend less than most other clubs on their football department, doesn't seem to affect them making Final Series.
I dare say they are spending more on players to make up for it. They are also quite obviously spending big on junior ‘development’.

If we keep the same backline as we have now, plus the addition of Fergo, it will be good enough and fast enough to trouble any side in the league. As odd as it may sound it was the forwards who floundered against Souths when they stepped up when they got even possession. Also Haynes last 20 min where he went missing due to fatigue. But that again is a sign that the forwards missed their assignment when the team has to rely on a winger to keep them in the game.

Even though our forwards played well when Souths were playing flat, we didn't tire them out when we were dominating. That's because our forwards aren't big and brutal enough with their smaller body shapes. It doesn't hurt the opposing defenders or wear them out as much. Then when a big and powerful forward pack like Souths decide to kick up a gear, we can't go with them and most teams know this.

Most teams know when it comes to playing Parra and defending, move up quick with numbers and go in with three to put them down. Work them over like this and then just run straight and hard. Our boys will get gassed quickly and then when we have the ball, our forwards will not be able to bend or break the line or off offload. Then the backs will find less time and space to do their thing. Teams don't fear our players at all and that is a telling factor.

Paulo, and Lane are a great start, but that had not be where it ends or we will find ourselves in a similar position as we are now very quickly next year again. We may not come last but we will be in the lower 8 again. Paulo is a great player on his day and I like the signing, but he is a slug who won't put in if the team is not doing well. He is a fare weather player so to speak, who needs a lot of guidance off the field to keep fit and focused. If he senses that we are in for a shit season, his enthusiasm will wane and therefore his game suffers. Similar to Jennings.
Actually our small forwards don’t tire easily unless we are heavily beaten in possession. This is something that didn’t happen prior to this year.

I disagree. For how much ball we’ve had our defence has been very good. Our attack is what’s letting us down. Paulo and Ferguson will be massive additions.

I reckon it's cause we don't have enough threats in the middle that can score, teams can slide because they know that we have to go out wide to score. A few players to hold up the defence in the middle and we'd be better at scoring

Paulo will certainly help with that.
Hopefully Evans will be able to pick up his game and help there as well.

A big issue has been no threat from hooker. When Kaysa was fit and firing we looked dangerous and no threat from fullback. We can blame the halves but teams know our 1 and 9 offer nothing. I'd expect Gutherson to regain form next season and have trust in knee again and also expect Mahoney to be the no 1 hooker and improve quite a lot between now and then.
The additions of Jnr and Fergo will be great. Niakuore will also be up to speed by mid next season and become another attacking threat. Guys need atleast 20 nrl games before adjust to speed. Some closer to 50.

Will be interesting who he is replacing and where he plays.
I'm guessing off the bench as a utility .?
Anyone with any idea.?
