Will be interesting who he is replacing and where he plays.

Yeah it's not the most imposing bench you've ever seen with Salmon and Taka on it. Tells me we're anticipating an open, fast game...

I'd rather bring Gower on to the bench, give Salmon a go and drop Taka...

Taka will come probably onto the edge with either Moeroa/Marata spending some time in the middle.

Salmon is probably a better hooker option then brown.

There's no way he'd name a kid in the 17 to make his debut without any intention of playing him.

I reckon The Taka plan is part of the forward roster. Possibly Tepai to the middle for a period. Id be surprised if Salmon isnt retained but where he plays wont matter much as BA usually plays rookies for minimal minutes initially.

To be honest, I'm not that excited about out 2019 roster so far. While JNR and Fergo are decent signings we need to stabilise our backline positions and then stick with them for a start. Our spine is that of an amoeba and we need a Cronin type goal kicker as well. I could go on but it's been covered ad nauseam on here.

Looking at Kafusi stats he has missed 20 tackles in last 4 games. Ouch.

Probably not a real edge forward. He has good footwork but that doesn’t necessarily translate to good lateral movement.

Agreed. I don’t like our 9, 7 or 1. The spine being a fairly important aspect of the team. We need upgrades there. 9 being the biggest concern. Also think we need a damaging edge forward.

Takairangi will play edge forward when he comes on. Unless we have an injury in the outside backs.
