And what about Bigface Kearney? He must have suddenly found the dressing room. That's a throw away line. Did Paul Green lose the dressing room ? Absolutely not.

I dont think he has or would ever lose the "dressing room". Im sure the players love him which no doubt has come through in the review.Maybe the reports are true then, he has lost the dressing room.
Early in the season the St Geo forwards were running hard with great offloads, yesterday they tried hard but very few offloads. Dogs now offload at will (even Klemmer has an occasional offload) and their halves playing with confidence. They'll really miss the Morris boys next year tho. Playing entirely different to Dessieball, they are now attractive to watch. The fact that we went from 4th to 16th in one season is inexcusable and ultimately the buck stops at the Big-dog. So he has to go now in my view (unless his replacement like Holbrook or Flanagan are not available until 2020).
The reason why sides slide however is very complex and would love everyone to first analyse the demise of the Cowboys, why they have been hot and cold all year and then play like the All Blacks on Friday.
Same analysis with STG. They were premiership favs leading into origin, then started to slide. They were horrible yesterday and I think we would have put them away. The Footy Gods have been very kind to them this year with injuries, yet they have really hit the wall.
Yes we have been shit pretty much all year, but I find it compelling that there are teams who have great squads on paper, yet fail to deliver.
BA did say the players are sick of listening to him. So what do you make of that? Winning the room or losing it?That's a throw away line. Did Paul Green lose the dressing room ? Absolutely not.
When he said the players are sick of hearing his voice, the full context was that because we have been short 1 or 2 assistants, there has been no other voice literally, to instruct and verbalise what he wants done.I saw an article recently where he was interviewed by NRL.COM. Massive alarm bells there for me. He admitted that the players were sick of hearing his voice. He didn’t go out much in public because he is embarrassed. He takes full responsibility etc etc.
Actually he said "they are sick of hearing his voice"... not the same as sick of listening to him.BA did say the players are sick of listening to him. So what do you make of that? Winning the room or losing it?
I fear he he will try and not take someone with more experience than he has or held in higher regard as he will be protecting his own arse. When he said the players are sick of hearing his voice, the full context was that because we have been short 1 or 2 assistants, there has been no other voice literally, to instruct and verbalise what he wants done.
This should be corrected with the additional recruitment of coaching staff that has already begun. The review has already identified that we are a few headcount below most clubs and these positions are already being advertised in time for pre-season.
Unless someone knows the scope of the review we'll never know if it will address some/most of those questions. But I would have thought that a complete review of each year's result and processes would be reviewed at the end of each season, but apparently not. Just proves how amateurish the club is. Hopefully review will address this so a review carried out each year by independent reviewers looking from head of football to the bottom.I dont think he has or would ever lose the "dressing room". Im sure the players love him which no doubt has come through in the review.
Could it be that they follow regardless due to their respect for him and his systems? Loyalty is a wonderful thing. Sadly it dosent win footy games.
Could it be that the coaching staff and players have become stale and all too comfortable in each others company? Could it be that everyone is on the same page but the book needs updating to a newer volume?
Could it be that Norman is the guy questioning "the game plan"?
These are the results we want to hear from the review.
This review also hopefully recognises not only what extras are required but what impediments are stifling sustained success. If this is done, the club must then be prepared to act on said review. That of cause is a different issue altogether.
deathhuggerI really hope the info on Flanagan is wrong. I don't rate him.

We all saw the Job Add for The HOFM with the disclaimer about "does not include coaching". So who would interview/appoint coaching assistants to the Head Coach? Its not coaching per se.I fear he he will try and not take someone with more experience than he has or held in higher regard as he will be protecting his own arse.

My mail is choice AND budgeting reasons but not the scapegoats choice .do you know if that was by choice or budgeting reasons ?
Not sure where that fear is coming from and whether it is founded. Most things i have heard or read imply BA has never knocked back help no matter what quarter it has come from.I fear he he will try and not take someone with more experience than he has or held in higher regard as he will be protecting his own arse.
I wouldn't hold your breath waiting to get any publicised results of the review.I dont think he has or would ever lose the "dressing room". Im sure the players love him which no doubt has come through in the review.

My fear is that every assistant he has had bar Gentle have had ordinary CV’s.Not sure where that fear is coming from and whether it os founded. Most things i have heard or read imply BA has never knocked back help no mattet what quarter it has come from.
You mean this one?Do you have a link to the article? Plenty of things said by @Noise and others he has basically admitted
That's not the same as what you said in the post I quoted. My fear is that every assistant he has had bar Gentle have had ordinary CV’s.
He loses Gentle and they come last.
