I have no doubt whoever ba selects to wear the 7 next year will do the job. If jamal can defend and distribute I'm sure BA will extract the best from him.

He raises a good point though, why sign a 5 year deal with ANZ when u have an ew stadium being built. Defies logic.

You might recall that there was a push from Baird for us to commit to min 2 games at ANZ.

Low and behold, we sign for min two games on a 5 year deal.

Parramatta's former board agreed to a long-term contract with ANZ Stadium in the week after the club was slapped with its salary cap breach notice, taking the Eels' two biggest games each season there until 2025 instead of being played at a new $300 million venue to be built on the site of Pirtek Stadium.

So was it stupidity by a departing Board or was it Todd and his mate Baird getting their way ?

Well why bother commenting then??? It's a discussion board ifs, ok Twiz lets shut this thread down because only the coaching staff should have an opinion.......

Would you be happy if Robson is our starting 7 next season?? I would offer Sam Williams one year deal and see if he can make the spot his own. At least he still is a first grader, and then it won't hurt us chasing a big name in 2018.

Hysterically responses and actual discussion are 2 different things.

Of course we need a better half option next year, but I'm not going to slit my wrists if we don't have one right now.

Should we take some games to Perth and expand our brand whilst rebuilding our stadium? I would.

I would, I'd take two games to Darwin, maybe a game in Perth, a match in Christchurch, maybe 6 maximum at ANZ. Maybe even consider playing somone like the Storm at Suncorp?

Moving to Homebush Stadium is the death knell for ticketed memberships, not whether we sign a rep-level halfback.

We've done alright this year in terms of match results without a stellar halves combo (or Peats) for most of the season. We've retained the bulk of our pack, which is where the difference has really been - thanks mainly to Beau Scott.

I'd be interested to know exactly how many of these 23,000 members are ticketed members, given that we've struggled to get half that to a game, even when we were looking great earlier in the season.

Who's slitting their wrists???

I said that we should be a aoming higher than Robson and he shouldn't be an option for next year.

I'll ask you again will you be happy if Robson is our starting 7 for next season???

He was the first choice 7 at the Raiders last season, whilst Cornish was the backup
True but they seemed to battle for a while to win the spot, so probably not a great deal between them. Hopefully Cornish didn't see first grade this year because of injury and cap problems, rather than being garbage.

It's not that he's garbage. He actually has a lot of skill and decent speed. He's just a poor defender, as you'd expect from a midget.
