Moving to Homebush Stadium is the death knell for ticketed memberships, not whether we sign a rep-level halfback.

We've done alright this year in terms of match results without a stellar halves combo (or Peats) for most of the season. We've retained the bulk of our pack, which is where the difference has really been - thanks mainly to Beau Scott.
Well i bet you are glad your former board heroes have locked the club into there for the next 5 years........

The Roosters and give them time the Sharks will go broke again.

That is why the ineptness of the NRL in offering all clubs guaranteed lifetime franchise licenses, is the height of business amateurism. It will only foster more reckless and selfish behavior from clubs.

Banks are to big to fail is a perfect comparison.

Imagine if we all had a lifetime guaranteed get out of jail card, what would we get up to?
roosters are in a great location but can't get crowds the only thing that saved them when superleague and ARL merged was Kerry Packer and Uncle Nik.

All of them are lengths better than options than Robson.

Seems like we are happy to give up on another season, good luck selling memberships then,
I think people are reading far too much into yesterday's story. Arthur specifically mentioned getting a specialist half so I reckon we'll be getting someone.

The NRL definitely need to do more to promote the game. I've seen countless ads on Fox for interstate AFL games whereas I can't remember the last time I saw an ad for an NRL game. If the NRL thinks it is up to the clubs to promote games then they need to hand out more money so they can budget for the level of promotion needed.

I don't think we need to move clubs interstate as they are already failed franchises. If we're going to set up a new club (in a new area) then they need their own identity.

I 100% agree that the dragons should play exclusively out of Wollongong and the Tigers exclusively out of Campbelltown. Even with the new Parramatta stadium I don't think that Penrith or the Tigers should play out of it even though it could potentially increase our LC revenue.
I'm sure part of the broadcast deals including some advertising as payment.
So are the NRL not using it?

Robson was a great signing this year but I'd hate to think we're going into next year with him as our first choice halfback. He's already past it.

The BA from yesterday, BA basically said Robson is on a pensions wage and didn't sound like he was thinking Robson was an option for next year. Said he was looking a quality half.

So what is your solution? If there's no one available, what are our options? Maybe you can email the club and give them the silver bullet?
Well why bother commenting then??? It's a discussion board ifs, ok Twiz lets shut this thread down because only the coaching staff should have an opinion.......

Would you be happy if Robson is our starting 7 next season?? I would offer Sam Williams one year deal and see if he can make the spot his own. At least he still is a first grader, and then it won't hurt us chasing a big name in 2018.

If it is financially viable (like the NT sponsorship) then for sure but given Souths already take a game over there and there's been a couple of games this year I don't think the WA government would be as quick to offer us as much money as the NT government was.

The WA economy is f**ked and their budget is in a terrible position. The government may even be in a position to give us money.

If they go broke they don't own the licence any more

Are you sure about that?

Also money should only be one aspect for holding a license. Junior development and fan base should also be huge and equally important when assessing a licensees credentials to maintain that license.

Both of which the Roosters fail in massively.

They weren't my heroes... I've been boycotting Homebush home games for longer than Sharp has been elected.
lol you talked them up every chance you could, but at least you jumped off them quicker than a few others in here who refused to believe how useless this board were.

They campaigned to bring all our games to Parramatta stadium, and their last act as a board locked the club into ANZ for 5 more years even though we have a new stadium coming. Your board Bart you must be devastated......

Yes as they can't pay their players/bills. Just like NRL took over Knights / Titans
